Guide: Nintendo Live 2023: Dates, Everything You Need To Know

Get the lowdown on Nintendo’s upcoming event.

In-person gaming events have gone through a bit of a rough patch over the last few years. E3 is seemingly dead and buried, and although Geoff Keighley is making hay with Summer Game Fest, some publishers are increasingly forgoing physical events for more focused, curated digital showcases.

Nintendo in particular has been especially fixated on its Direct presentations, and it doesn’t look as though that’s about to change anytime soon. What the company has started, however, is a new in-person event called ‘Nintendo Live’.

Review: TRON: Identity – A Tight Visual Novel That Fans Of The Films Will Love

Griddy with anticipation.

The world of Tron is filled with intrigue, opposing forces, and not-so-subtle hints at the influence humans have on the programs living within their computers. While the two films followed humans who made their way to The Grid, TRON: Identity is a visual novel that offers a look at how programs interact when there aren’t any humans around to interfere.

Tron: Identity casts players in the role of Query, a Disciple of Tron who is tasked with discovering the truth behind an explosion. The game does a solid job of casting Query into the classic role of the hard-boiled detective. Though he is significantly less hard-drinking and aggressive than the likes of Raymond Chandler’s Philip Marlowe, that is certainly the vein of fiction that Bithell Games (Thomas Was Alone, Subsurface Circular, John Wick Hex) mined for inspiration, right down to the near-constant rain that falls on the dark streets of The Grid.

UK Charts: PS5 And Sports Titles Rule Top Ten In Quiet Week For Nintendo

Mario Odyssey and Mario Kart keep hanging on.

The Easter weekend is over, and that means the UK boxed charts are in. It’s been another quiet week for Nintendo, with two of the Big N’s major titles still making the top ten. And it’s another case of the usual suspects.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Super Mario Odyssey charted in fourth and tenth respectively, with Mario Kart scooting up a place and Odyssey slipping down two. We’ve seen Super Mario Odyssey sales jump up thanks to The Super Mario Bros. Movie, and we wonder if this streak will continue.

“This choice wasn’t made easily”.

Service for the Switch version of Rogue Company will be ending on 20th June 2023, publisher Hi-Rez Studios has announced. Nintendo Wants Discord To Reveal Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Art Book Leaker

NoA files for DMCA subpoena.

Nintendo of America has filed an application for a DMCA subpoena at a district court in California which, if granted, would order Discord to reveal the identity of the person who leaked The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom‘s art book back in February.

TorrentFreak reported earlier today that the company’s attorneys applied for the DMCA subpoena on 7th April 2023, and it specifically mentions the name of the user who Nintendo believes is responsible for the leak, along with the name of the Discord server where the images reportedly leaked first. As laid out under US copyright law in Section 512(h), a DMCA subpoena requires that a provider — for example, a sales website or a social media platform — must disclose the details of the infringer.

Let’s Build A Zoo To Open Aquarium DLC In Animal-Splicing Management Sim

Plus ‘Sloths and Spa’ free update available now.

Publisher No More Robots is throwing us in at the deep end of Let’s Build A Zoo later this year. The developer of the cute, cosy, and somewhat morally troubling management sim has revealed some brand new DLC for the game — Aquarium Odyssey. So we’ll be able to splice fish together now for some truly terrifying sea creatures.

To celebrate this announcement, developer Springloaded has also dropped a free update for its animal-splicing zoo sim called ‘Sloths and Spas’, which is frankly perfect. We would take this alone without the promise of tons of new content in the future.
