July 8th, 2016 marks the day that Red Dead Redemption goes live on Xbox One backward compatibility. Owners of the Xbox 360 version of Red Dead can now play on Xbox One.

This was one of the top wanted Xbox backward compatible games and it is said that sales have jumped 6,000% since the announcement of it’s compatibility early this week.

Xbox Live members have the chance to get the game (digital version) on sale right now for about $8. Not only can you get it for a shockingly low price, Rockstar is also giving away most of Red Dead’s DLC for free!

This has led to speculation that Rockstar will be announcing something major soon – such as Red Dead Redemption 2 or Red Dead Redemption Remastered.
