Next month, Nintendo is reviving the 3DS title Luigi’s Mansion 2 on the Nintendo Switch. In the lead up to Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD, it’s now uploaded a new trailer for the game titled ‘Rude Awakening’.
In this “visually enhanced” adventure for the Siwtch, Professor E.Gadd calls on Luigi after the Dark Moon is shattered:

Starting life on the Game Boy, and initially marketed as a Final Fantasy spin-off in the West, the SaGa series is known for ditching traditional levelling mechanics and storytelling for something a bit more open. While earlier games have you selecting characters and classes as blank-slates, later entries had a set cast with their own individual storylines.

Movie director Wes Ball has recently been doing press rounds to promote his new Planet of the Apes movie and he’s once again been asked about his upcoming live-action Zelda movie.
Although he can’t say much, during a chat with The Direct, The Legend of Zelda movie director reassured fans about his love of the series and how it has been “one of the most important things ever” in his life. He went as far as comparing it to his love of Star Wars from childhood through to adulthood and is seemingly confident “fans are gonna be happy” with the end product.

Could Kirby and Mallo be returning?
It’s already been quite an interesting week on the Nintendo front, and now to add to this, it’s been discovered some new trademarks were recently registered by the video game giant in Australia.
As highlighted by Vooks, trademarks have been registered for the 2015 Wii U title Kirby and the Rainbow Paintbrush (Kirby and the Rainbow Curse) and 2015 3DS release Fullblox (also known as Stretchmo).

Ah, the 3D platformer. Ever since Super Mario 64 landed and showed everyone just how good three-dimensional platforming could be, there have been developers hoping to capture just a smidgen of that game’s magic. It was a tough act to follow, even for the plumber himself, but his bespoke Switch outing finds him at the very top of his game.

There was a time earlier this year where we had two states: playing Balatro, or thinking about playing Balatro. Our daily hours played may have begun to drop in the months since, but there’s no denying that it has permanently set up shop in our minds. And guess what, it can now do the same in our wardrobes!
Yes, Balatro publisher PlayStack has revealed a range of merch so that we can show the world our love for the poker roguelike. As it stands, the collection consists of t-shirts, hoodies and mugs, all of which are adorned with cards, logos and icons from the game.

NES Remix, but not NES Remix.
Following a rather blatant tease from reliable leaker Pyoro, a rating has appeared via the ESRB for Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition for the Nintendo Switch (thanks, Stealth).
Described as “a collection of 2D challenges and platformer games”, it’s also noted that the game will likely contain in-game purchases. What these are exactly is unknown at this time, but hopefully Nintendo will have an official announcement lined up soon.

“Our quest has ended”.
Netherlands indie developer Paladin, who worked with Nintendo in 2020 on the Switch eShop title Good Job!, has announced it has “closed the studio” after “almost 19 years”.
Apart from Nintendo, the 45-person studio (which began life in 2005 and peaked at 55 people at one stage) worked with various other “incredible partners” such as Apple Arcade, Netflix and Bandai Namco on franchises such as Cut The Rope, Tamagotchi and the Katamari series.
