Random: Takaya Imamura Says Nintendo Never Celebrated Its 100th Birthday

No centennial celebrations.

We get it — not everyone enjoys celebrating their birthdays, even milestone birthdays. But look, Nintendo, how on earth could you not celebrate your 100th birthday?

Well, according to former Nintendo artist Takaya Imamura — the man responsible for the designs of F-Zero, Star Fox, and art director for Majora’s Mask — Nintendo completely glossed over its centennial anniversary. He shared this during an interview with 4Gamer (thanks to Time Extension and TheGamer for highlighting this) on the upcoming video game adaptation of his manga series, Omega 6: The Triangle Stars.

The Sims 1 & 2 Have Returned, But Not On Consoles

Update: PC only for now.

The first two Sims games are still exceedingly well-regarded these days, but sadly, actually gaining access to them in a legitimate way isn’t particularly easy. The first was a disc-only jobby, and the second has long-since been removed from digital platforms.

Thankfully, with a new report from Kotaku (thanks, Push Square) accompanying an intriguing tease from EA itself, it looks like The Sims and The Sims 2 will be re-released on PC very soon. The catch? Well, according to Kotaku’s sources, it seems as though a console release is still “unclear” at the time of writing.

Here’s how they could compare to the current Switch cases.

We don’t have a release date for the Switch 2 and we also don’t know what its game cartridges will look like just yet, but it seems we might already have “leaked proportions” of the new system’s physical game cases.

‘Techno Banter’ Is A First-Person Bouncer Simulator All About Keeping The Party Going

Allowed access to Club Switch today.

Those who enjoy a little slice of weirdness in their gaming might want to keep an eye on this one. Publisher Crunching Koalas and developer Dexai Arts have today released the first-person bouncer simulator Techno Banter on the Switch eShop and it looks… strange.

This is a game all about deciding which party guests get into a club and which are told to take a hike. It’s a similar concept to what we’ve seen in the likes of Papers, Please and Lil’ Guardsman, but Techno Banter mixes things up with, you guessed it, banter. You’ll have to use your wit to hit any unruly potential guests with clever comebacks, keeping the party vibing and keeping the line in check.
