Much like last time, it has been a pretty quiet week in the wake of Nintendo opening the floodgates on Switch 2, but Super Mario Party Jamboree has still managed to find itself on top with an additional 6,146 sales — just imagine the numbers once the + Jamboree TV expansion drops.

Rune Factory: Guardians Of Azuma Switch 2 Cart Will Apparently Also Work On Switch 1

Just when we thought we were starting to get a grip on what would and would not be on Switch 2 cartridges, publisher Marvelous comes in with another bombshell (thanks for the heads up, @Wario64).

In a recently published Q&A section regarding the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 edition of Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma, Marvelous started to unpack what the game’s physical copy actually entails. According to the site, the red Switch 2 cart contains the full Switch 1 game and the Switch 2 Upgrade Pack, but it can be inserted into and played on either console.

Nintendo Switch 2 US Pre-Orders Start 24th April, System & Launch Game Pricing Unchanged

But “accessories will experience price adjustments”.

Switch 2 will remain at the previously announced price of $449.99 USD ($629.99 CAD) for the base hardware and $499.99 ($699.99 CAD) for the Mario Kart World bundle in North America, Nintendo has announced.

Prices for Mario Kart and Donkey Kong Bananza will also remain unchanged at $79.99 USD ($109.99 CAD) and $69.99 USD ($99.99 CAD), respectively. Retailer pre-orders in the US and Canada will begin on 24th April.

Uh Oh, It Looks Like Select Switch 2 Games Won’t Support Cloud Saves

Just when you thought the messaging around Nintendo’s ‘Switch 2 Edition’ games couldn’t get any more confusing, another discovery comes along to stir things up even further. Looking at the game’s store pages, it seems some upcoming titles won’t support the Nintendo Switch Online Cloud Save feature — or maybe they will, it’s all a bit confusing (thanks for the heads up, Eurogamer).

As was pointed out in a recent Resetera thread by user RandomlyRandom67, the Tears of the Kingdom Nintendo Switch 2 Edition page on Nintendo’s website houses the following disclaimer: “Please note: this software does not support the Nintendo Switch Online paid membership’s Save Data Cloud backup feature”.

Star Wars Outlaws is on the way to the Nintendo Switch 2 later this year and in case you missed it, it’s also getting some new “story pack” DLC.

Apart from ‘Wild Card‘ (originally released last year) there’s the upcoming story ‘A Pirate’s Fortune‘. The development team has now confirmed this DLC pack will be arriving on 15th May 2025 for other platforms. So, by the time the Switch 2 version arrives, it will have already been released.

Mario Kart World’s Costumes Unlock Via Its New “Dash Food” Cuisine

As detailed during Nintendo’s Mario Kart World Direct, the Switch 2-exclusive racer will allow its players to unlock a literal smorgasbord of costumes inspired by a menu made up of “dash foods” from around the world.

During the show, we got a look at some Free-Roam-style portions of Mario Kart World, which are populated by Yoshi restaurants. The restaurants serve food themed on the region you are currently visiting and, by gobbling some up, you’ll give yourself the chance to unlock a costume to suit the food style – as well as giving yourself a handy speed boost!
