On the heels of a meteoric rise, a notable Pokémon and sports trading card re-seller is suddenly grappling with a potentially similar meteoric fall.

The streaming trading card resale company Blake’s Breaks, which is helmed by ex-NFL player Blake Martinez, has been embroiled in controversy over the last week following a series of accusations from customers and fellow card game streamers. Several online allege that Blake’s Breaks practises rampant scamming techniques, including theft from customer orders, sleight of hand, and trading card pack manipulation.

2D Retro-Inspired Fighter Pocket Bravery “Coming Soon” To Switch

Drawing inspiration from the classics.

At EVO last year, Statera Studio lifted the lid on its new 2D pixel-themed fighter Pocket Bravery – drawing inspiration from series such as Street Fighter and King of Fighters, as well as the Neo Geo Pocket Color generation.

While there’s still no concrete release date, publisher PQube has now confirmed it’s “coming soon” to all consoles including the Nintendo Switch. Alongside this announcement was a new trailer for the game, which you can check out above.

Arc System Works Announces Under Night In-Birth II Sys:Celes For Nintendo Switch

EVO 2023 is taking place this weekend and to celebrate the special occasion Arc System Works and developer French-Bread have announced Under Night In-Birth II Sys: Celes is coming to multiple platforms including the Switch in Early 2024.

Kickstarter Is Cracking Down On AI And Promoting Human Creativity

As AI starts to (regrettably) tighten its grip on the entertainment industry, it’s nice to see that some companies out there are tackling the difficult subject in sensible ways.

Take Kickstarter, for instance. The popular public benefit company has recently revealed its new AI policy (thanks, Push Square) and it’s actually reasonably sound. Taking effect from August 29th, 2023, the new policy will essentially require creators utilising AI to not only be completely transparent on how it will be implemented, but also ensure that projects will include elements of wholly original, human-created content.

More Quake II Rumours Point To An Imminent Switch Release

QuakeCon is just around the corner.

Back in June, a rating for Quake II Remastered appeared via the South Korean Game Rating Committee, indicating that the game would potentially land on modern consoles in the coming months.

Now, adding fuel to the fire, notable leaker @billbil_kun has stated that the game will indeed be revealed at the upcoming QuakeCon 2023 celebrations commencing on August 10th, 2023. They state that the game will simply be called Quake II, removing ‘Remastered’ from the title entirely, and will likely be announced on the first day of the four-day event.

Squeaky Clean Sprint debuts on mobile in the next Tour.

Last month, Nintendo released the ‘Wave 5’ DLC for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – adding in new racers, cups and tracks. One of these happened to be the brand new track Squeaky Clean Sprint, where you race around a bathroom.
