Well, Switch 2 pre-orders are finally live across North America and we’re interested in getting a sense of how it’s been for Nintendo fans on the ground in the US and Canada.

Following a 15-day delay from the planned date, Switch 2 pre-orders went live at retailers across North America at 9pm ET / 12am ET. Europeans have been busy pre-ordering the system for weeks, but “the potential impact of tariffs and evolving market conditions” caused Nintendo to postpone retailer pre-orders and assess the situation.

Sonic X Shadow Generations Is Confirmed As A Launch Title For Switch 2

Update: Upgrade seemingly not available for current owners.

Sega has already confirmed that Sonic x Shadow Generations will be heading to the Switch 2, but now we have a date: 5th June, 2025. Yes, the Switch 2 launch date.

This means that Sonic X Shadow Generations will be joining Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut and Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S on day one, making Sega one of the most staunch early supporters of the Nintendo Switch 2. The publisher will also release RAIDOU Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army on 19th June 2025, and Two Point Museum at a later date.

Nintendo Confirms Upgrade Pack Price For Two More ‘Switch 2 Edition’ Titles

Nintendo has today updated the UK eShop listings for Kirby and the Forgotten Land and Super Mario Party Jamboree‘s Switch 2 Edition, revealing the all-important price of the games’ upgrade packs.

For those who already own the games on Switch, the ‘Nintendo Switch 2 Edition’ upgrade pack will set you back £16.99 / €19.99 — more than double the £7.99 / €9.99 required to upgrade Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.

Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition Update Now Live (Version 1.0.2), Here Are The Full Patch Notes

New ‘AI: The Somnium Files’ Is Latest Switch 2 Game To Include Mouse Mode Support

No sleep for Mouse Mode.

With the Switch 2’s shiny new Mouse Mode, we’re not surprised lots of developers are integrating the new control scheme into their games. And Spike Chunsoft is the latest dev to jump on the mouse wagon, with its next big game, No Sleep For Kaname Date – From AI: The Somnium Files.

The third game in the AI: The Somnium Files series is coming to both the Switch and Switch 2 — the latter as a Game-Key Card release — on 25th July 2025. But the Switch 2 version will be bringing a number of benefits to the table, including better graphics, faster load times, and mouse control support.

Believe it or not, when the Nintendo Switch first launched back in March 2017, those first couple of months weren’t exactly packed to the rafters with new releases. Folks had The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild to keep them busy, of course, but beyond that, big tentpole releases seemed few and far between.

“Frustrating” Nintendo Cert Process Causes Last-Minute Switch Delay For ‘Old Skies’

“Unfortunately, it didn’t make it”.

We’ve been following Old Skies, the time-travelling point-and-click from indie powerhouse Wadjet Eye Games (Unavowed, Primordia, The Excavation Of Hob’s Barrow), for a good few years now. Initially revealed in 2022, the game was supposed to launch on Switch and PC today, however, the developer has had to make the last-minute decision to delay the Switch launch following what it describes as a “frustrating” Nintendo certification process.

Wadjet Eye founder Dave Gilbert shared the news in a video posted to BlueSky, explaining that the team began preparations on the Switch approval months ago, but a later patch has caused things to take much longer than expected.
