Cassette Beasts Is Getting A Huge Multiplayer Update On Switch

If you’re a fan of the Pokémon-inspired RPG Cassette Beasts on Switch but have been hankering for cassette-battling action with your friends, then you’re in luck.

During a 2024 Cassette Beasts Showcase, developer Bytten Studio confirmed that the game will be receiving a substantial update on 20th May, 2024 that will enable multiplayer for up to eight friends. You’ll be able to explore the world together, battle against one another, and customise the battling experience with your own set of rules.

You might find yourself picking up something like Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom or the recently launched Balatro and have the genuine intention to only play for around 10 or 15 minutes. For one Japanese police officer at the Tenri Police Station, however, time on the Switch has unfortunately meant that his attention to his role has suffered, leading to a bit of a slapped wrist and docked pay (via Japan News).

It was Team Keyboard that came out on top in the battle of “Which instrument would you play?”. The headline act took home a whopping 500p, while Team Guitar and Team Drums followed on 190p and 180p respectively.

Nintendo Places In “Top 10” Of Metacritic’s 14th Annual Game Publisher Rankings

Zelda was its “best 2023 game”.

Metacritic released its 14th annual publisher rankings earlier this week and Nintendo has placed in the top 10 for 2023.

Thanks to the critical success of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and some other titles, Nintendo placed sixth place out of 46 publishers on the list. It had an average Metascore of 79.5 in 2023 after releasing 22 titles, with four great games overall. In the previous year, it was 12th. Here’s what Metacritic had to say about its latest result:

Zelda Live-Action Movie Director: “I Want To Fulfil People’s Greatest Desires”

He knows how “important” the series is to fans.

Hollywood is adapting Nintendo’s Legend of Zelda series into a live-action movie and while there’s plenty of excitement about the upcoming film there’s also some concern.

With this in mind, the film’s director Wes Ball (known for the Maze Runner trilogy) has told Total Film how he understands just how “important” the Zelda franchise is to fans and aims to “fulfil people’s greatest desires”.
