According to the Japanese daily newspaper Kyoto Shimbun, police have arrested a suspect tied to the threats that led to Nintendo Live 2024 Tokyo’s cancellation (via 4Gamer & Nintendo Everything).
The weekend-long event was set to take place this January and would hold Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Splatoon 3 competitions alongside the usual showcase of Nintendo games and presentations.

Full game arrives this month.
We are mere weeks away from the release of Square Enix’s upcoming RPG SaGa Emerald Beyond on 25th April, and there’s some good news for those curious about this one as it has been announced that a free demo will be hitting the Switch eShop tomorrow (4th April).
The demo will be available from midnight local time and will give you a taste of what’s in store for the next entry in the long-running series.

Japanese clothing retailer Uniqlo has announced a new range of t-shirts based on The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (thanks, VGC).
Launching in Japan on 26th April, 2024 at ¥1,500 (roughly $10 / £8) each, the range consists of six designs based on Nintendo’s sublime sequel to Breath of the Wild, which launched on the Switch in May 2023. No Western release for the range has been confirmed at the time of writing, but based on previous collaborations, we’re confident that Uniqlo will bring them over shortly after the initial Japanese launch.

Rose & Camellia Collection was previously revealed for Nintendo’s hybrid system during some Japanese broadcasts and now it will be making its way across to the eShop in North America and Europe on 16th April 2024 for $19.99 (or your regional equivalent).

Ubisoft’s Prince of Persia series enjoyed a successful return earlier this year thanks to Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown and it seems more adventures could be on the way.
According to a new “exclusive” from Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson, Ubisoft is aiming to release a “roguelite” game “later this year” which is being made by Dead Cells‘ co-developer Evil Empire. It’s titled ‘The Rogue Prince of Persia‘ and would initially launch in Early Access on Steam.

If you’re fond of the charming Dadish series on Switch, then you’ll be pleased to know that it’s heading into the third dimension next month with Dadish 3D.
Launching on 23rd April, 2024, Dadish 3D stars, well, Dadish as he embarks on his ‘craziest adventure yet’ to locate his missing children, who were lured away suspicious pop-up advertising. Although transitioning from 2D to 3D, the game is said to maintain the same tight platforming gameplay and witty dialogue that made the original games so attractive.
