Poll: So, Will You Be Getting Mario vs. Donkey Kong For Switch?

The GBA title is back.

Apart from the arrival of the Smash Bros. Sora amiibo this week, Nintendo has also revived Mario vs. Donkey Kong for Switch.

This one is a bit different to the average new release because it’s a remake of the 2004 Game Boy Advance title with a few new worlds, co-op mode and a new casual difficulty setting. We rather enjoyed the Switch version, but we’re now curious to know if our community will be picking it up.

Nintendo Restocks Multiple Super Smash Bros. Ultimate amiibo (US)

Get ’em while you can.

Alongside the launch of Sora and the arrival of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Version 13.0.2 this week, Nintendo appears to have restocked multiple amiibo on its official store in the US.

As highlighted by ‘Amiibo News’ on social media, these restocks include Smash Bros. fighters like Sephiroth (Final Fantasy), Mega Man, and even Metal Gear Solid‘s Snake. Each one will set you back $15.99. Unfortunately, some have already sold out!

Rumour: Switch Successor Might Not Be Launching Until 2025

Here we go again…

The next Nintendo console — the Switch 2, Super Switch, whatever you want to call it — may not be releasing until 2025, new rumours are suggesting.

Brazilian journalist Pedro Henrique Lutti Lippe (via VGC) made this claim in the O X do Controle podcast after consulting five different sources, who have all reportedly stated that the follow-up to the hybrid console will be launching in 2025.

Nintendo Showcases All 94 Smash Bros. Ultimate amiibo In New Graphic

Everyone is (finally) here.

With today’s release of the Sora amiibo for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the collection is complete. Every fighter now has a corresponding figure (excluding alternate costumes), Sakurai has announced that development is over, and Nintendo has put together a neat image to mark the occasion.

Shared in a post on Twitter, Nintendo highlighted all 94 Smash Ultimate amiibo in one beefy graphic. We wouldn’t have thought that a collection of plastic figures could look quite so epic, but we’d be lying if we said that we didn’t want to see this released as a poster.

Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Wins D.I.C.E. Awards ‘Adventure Game Of The Year’

And Super Mario Bros. Wonder wins family GOTY.

Update :

The 27th annual DICE Awards has just ended and (unsurprisingly) Baldur’s Gate 3 took out the game of the year award. On the Nintendo front, Super Mario Bros. Wonder won “family game of the year” and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom won “adventure game of the year”. F-Zero 99 missed out on the racing award, with Forza Motorsport taking out the top spot. Koji Kondo was also inducted into the AIAS Hall of Fame.

Sakurai Acknowledges End Of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Development

The final major update arrived yesterday.

It’s been a long development cycle for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate with the team not only celebrating the initial launch of the game but also multiple updates and DLC fighters over the past five years.

Now that the Sora (Kingdom Hearts) amiibo has arrived, the game’s director Masahiro Sakurai has taken to social media to thank the team for their hard work on this latest amiibo, and acknowledge the fact this is the last of his work on Ultimate. It’s officially the end of an era!
