Retro Zelda-Inspired Adventure ‘Mina The Hollower’ Has Been Delayed For Switch 2 And Switch

Thankfully, it’s not a “major” delay.

Yacht Club Games’ new title Mina the Hollower was on track for a 31st October 2025 release, but it seems the plans have now changed.

In an official statement on the company’s website, the “delay extravanganza” continues – with the team behind this new retro Zelda-inspired adventure having to make the “tough decision” to delay the title on Switch, Switch 2, and all other platforms, as “it’s just not quite there yet”. Fortunately, this delay isn’t a major one.

Broken Sword Continues To Reforge With ‘The Smoking Mirror’ On Switch

Coming 2026.

Revolution Software has unveiled Broken Sword – The Smoking Mirror: Reforged, an enhanced rerelease of the second game in the Broken Sword series. And it’s coming to Switch, alongside other platforms, in early 2026.

Originally teased much earlier this year, The Smoking Mirror appropriately follows on from the excellent 2024 enhanced release of Shadow of the Templars: Reforged and brings with it the same bells and whistles. Though it is getting a 4K release this time — perhaps a free patch for Switch 2 owners, then? We hope so…

Digital Foundry Delivers A Technical Breakdown Of Switch 2’s DLSS

Prepare for some deep learning.

We’ve known that Nvidia’s custom-built Switch 2 chip would bring some DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) magic to the new console for a good while now, though specifics around how the technology is actually working under the hood have been pretty slim. Fortunately, the tech experts at Digital Foundry are here to shed some light on the whole thing.

In a new video (above), DF’s Alex Battaglia gets into the weeds of the Switch 2’s DLSS and explains how it works compared to other models on PC. There’s been no official word from Nintendo or Nvidia on the matter, but this is pretty much as comprehensive a breakdown as you’ll get.

A little Game Boy Advance goodness?

If you played Orbital Media’s Scurge:Hive back when it launched in 2006, on both GBA and DS, you’ll already know that it’s a super-solid action effort that takes its cues from the likes of Metroid: Fusion, and then melds them into a tight isometric space adventure.

Poll: So, Did You Get Super Mario Galaxy 1 + 2 For Switch?

Galaxy 2 has already topped the eShop charts.

Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 released for the Switch this week, and we’ve now got some eShop chart data, revealing which entry is the most popular so far.

Perhaps, unsurprisingly, it’s Super Mario Galaxy 2 – which is currently at the very top of Nintendo’s digital store chart in the US, with the original Super Mario Galaxy game placing third on the chart in this same region, behind the recent release Hades II. If you go back to Switch purchases, in general, on the same storefront, it seems the Galaxy pack is still the most popular option.

More Switch Games Get Switch 2 Compatibility Fixes

Issues with multiple titles have been resolved.

Nintendo released a new update for the Switch 2 (and Switch) earlier this week, bumping the firmware up to Version 20.5.0. We noted at the time how there could be compatibility fixes, and we’ve got confirmation of multiple fixes.

Once you’ve updated to this particular version, issues related to certain Switch games running on Switch 2 should be resolved. This also notably includes Warframe, with developer Digital Extremes showing the first gameplay of a dedicated Switch 2 release earlier this week (this is coming to the Switch 2 in the future).
