Review: HautePad X Arcade Controller For Switch & Switch 2 – A Modular Masterclass At A Premium Price

Swapsies.

Cosmox Gaming is best known for its Haute Pad range of arcade controllers, many of which can be considered budget options for fight fans, while pretty much all of them are immediately compatible with the Switch and Switch 2.

The HautePad X wired controller is a slightly different proposition, and it’s a wild one. It’s comfortably the most premium of Cosmox Gaming’s controllers at a base price of $229.99, and there’s a good reason for that. Okay, that’s obviously not what I’ve spent my many years growing up with Pokémon thinking about, but it is the spark that sets in motion my actual, long-desired Pokémon spin-off, Pokémon Pokopia: a life sim.
