Nintendo UK’s Holiday Switch 2 Ads Are Another Raye Of Sunshine

This is the Raye.

Holiday season is almost upon us (this writer’s local supermarket rolled out the advent calendars weeks ago), and Nintendo UK is equally keen to spread some festive cheer with its new TV ads.

You can pet the Vulpo.

Hibernian Workshop’s ace roguelike Astral Ascent has done a fair amount of growing since it first launched on Switch back in 2023. The release of the ver. 2.0 update and ‘Outer Reaches’ DLC mean the game is almost twice as big as it was to begin with, and it will soon be getting even bigger… and cuter.

That’s because the dev has revealed a new DLC, ‘Celestial Haven’, which will be coming to Steam later this month, with a Switch release following “shortly after”, and it is packed (we mean packed) with adorable little pets.

“I’m Running On Fumes” – Digital Eclipse Is Scrambling To Address Issues With Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection

Some PS5 players are even getting refunds.

Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection has not launched in the best state.

Indeed, while we heaped praise on the game for its excellent interactive documentary and wide selection of games in our 7/10 review, we noted that the online functionality is simply not up to scratch at the moment. Alas, that hasn’t quite happened yet. At 154.01 million units, the Switch is a mere 10,000 units away from the DS, and considering the data is only viable to the end of September 2025, it’s likely that the gap has already been closed in the couple of months following.
