Racing onto Switch 2 later this month.

Ahead of the release of Kirby Air Riders later this month, Nintendo has now released a new overview video. Yes, if you need even more footage of this new racer after the previous broadcasts, we’ve now got an additional seven minutes!

Although it’s in Japanese, there’s plenty of footage on display that provides a recap of everything revealed so far. This includes the main modes and even mini games, and towards the end, there’s even another look at the new Kirby Air Riders amiibo line. When an English version of this trailer is released, we’ll provide an update.

A Mega Announcement?

We’re just shy of three weeks past Pokémon Legends: Z-A‘s release, but tomorrow, The Pokémon Company has some news in store for the upcoming DLC, Mega Dimension.

At 6am PST / 9am EST / 2pm GMT (or your local time), we’ll be getting an “update” on the DLC, which will feature two versions of Mega Raichu and the Mythical ‘mon Hoopa.

Admission continues via randomly selected drawings.

The Nintendo Museum has been open to the public for roughly a year at this point and, thanks to the ongoing lottery system for prospective visitors, the venue has already played host to quite a few people.

Announced via Nintendo’s latest financial briefing, the company states that the “cumulative number of
visitors surpassed half a million as of the end of September”, and that it will continue to implement randomly selected drawings going forward. This is simply due to the large number of numbers, and Nintendo has apologised for any inconvenience this might cause.

With play activity available for 3DS and Wii U.

Nintendo has launched a storefront app – simply titled Nintendo Store – for Android and iOS, letting you browse everything including eShop titles, accessories, amiibo, apparel, and more.

Originally available exclusively in Japan as the ‘My Nintendo’ app, this has now been updated and reworked for worldwide use. It’s not quite a dedicated experience, mind you, since clicking on any given product will take you through to the relevant page in your default browser.

The new hybrid system has now sold over 10 million units.

As we’ve now seen, Switch 2 sales have seemingly exceeded Nintendo’s expectations, after shifting 10.36 million units as of 30th September 2025. This has also reportedly resulted in a slump in Switch sales, with Nintendo cutting back its forecast of the original hybrid system.

Fragments of a New Future?

The Dragon Quest train just isn’t slowing down; despite the fact we just got Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake, we’re actually just months away (5th February 2026) from the arrival of Dragon Quest VII: Reimagined on Switch 1 & 2, and there’s plenty to be excited about.

Game Informer has spent some exclusive time at Square Enix’s Shibuya, Tokyo offices, and that also involves chatting to the game’s producer, Takeshi Ichikawa, who has shared some interesting news about the upcoming game — it’ll have a “new conclusion”.

Hibernian Workshop’s ace roguelike Astral Ascent has done a fair amount of growing since it first launched on Switch back in 2023. The release of the ver. 2.0 update and ‘Outer Reaches’ DLC mean the game is almost twice as big as it was to begin with, and it will soon be getting even bigger… and cuter.

That’s because the dev has revealed a new DLC, ‘Celestial Haven’, which will be coming to Steam later this month, with a Switch release following “shortly after”, and it is packed (we mean packed) with adorable little pets.
