The ‘Deluxe’ version of NSMB. U returns.
The Nintendo Music mobile app for Switch Online subscribers continues its weekly updates with more album drops and the latest one to join the service is New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe.
This soundtrack, based on the 2019 Switch version, comes loaded with 90 tracks and has a total runtime of 2 hours and 7 minutes. You’ll be able to listen to everything from the title screen through to the catchy staff credits.

Just hypnotic.
If you were a kid who grew up in the ’90s, you’ve probably watched more than a handful of episodes of Animaniacs. The Warner Bros.-produced cartoon ran from 1993 to 1998 and received well over 250 episodes. And, you can bet there were many video games out there to accompany Yakko, Wakko, and Dot’s animated antics.
In fact, there were nine different games between the SNES and DS eras, in fact, but a tenth, long-lost one has recently been rediscovered and preserved online (thanks, Time Extension!); Animaniacs: Hollywood Hypnotics, which is now fully preserved and playable online thanks to the efforts of Hidden Palace, MrPinball64, and Billscat-socks.

Gameloft has announced that its free-to-play online racer, Disney Speedstorm, is getting a free Switch 2 upgrade.
Shared via an in-game message (and reported on by My Nintendo News), the upgrade is due to arrive at the start of the new season, which lands on 3rd July.

Deluxe indeed!
When Japanese physical publisher Superdeluxe Games announced it was giving Castlevania Anniversary Collection the physical release treatment earlier this year, I immediately sat up and took notice.
Having already seen how excellent the company’s other physical editions can be, I couldn’t wait to see what Superdeluxe had in store for this one, as Castlevania is without a doubt my favourite game series.

Glitch in the Matrix.
Until Then is a visual novel that tells the story of Mark Borja, a high school student who grapples with the usual day-to-day of teenage life while trying to figure out why he’s experiencing weird cases of déjà vu. It’s a slow burn; one that relishes in the quieter, mundane aspects of life that many TV shows and movies would rather you believe didn’t exist.
With beautiful pixel art visuals at its heart, Until Then feels a lot more ‘alive’ than a lot of visual novels, with dialogue and actions taking place entirely within the scene; so in other words, no ‘talking head’ sequences where static characters are nattering to one another from across the screen.

Bandai Namco has announced that its ‘Summer Showcase’ presentation will return on 2nd July, and the line-up promises a bunch of Switch news.
The showcase’s teaser trailer (above) reveals that the likes of Everybody’s Golf Hot Shots, Patapon 1+2 Replay, Shadow Labyrinth, Little Nightmares III and Super Robot Wars Y will all get some time in the spotlight, and we’re set to land a new trailer for Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree. That’s only the titles that are already confirmed for Switch.

The latest UK Charts are here, and perhaps unsurprisingly, Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding 2: On The Beach has comfortably landed at number one following its debut, pushing Mario Kart World down to second place for the first time.
Interestingly, however, it seems physical sales for DS2 are down 66% when compared to the first game, according to The Game Business’ Chris Dring. It’s a much different world we live in now, of course, so it’s likely that there are simply far more digital sales this time around.

Somehow, we’ve made it halfway through the year — congrats on surviving 2025 so far! Now that many of us have a shiny new console in our hands, we’ve got a lot to look forward to.
But before we look at the future all starry-eyed, it’s time to look back at the year’s very best for the first six months. Sure, the Switch 2 is a highlight, but we’ve had months of excellent Switch 1 games, and many of us are sitting on a backlog as tall as a skyscraper now we can’t put down our Mario Kart Worlds or our Cyberpunk 2077s.

Hello folks, and welcome to another edition of Box Art Brawl!
Last time, we looked at Donkey Konga 2 for the GameCube; a rather lovely sequel that never quite became the hit it deserved to be. In a classic three-way brawl, Japan came out on top with 47% of the vote, but goodness, it was close. North America just missed out with 46% of the vote – oof! Europe sadly lagged behind with just 8%.

Zion investigates.
The Switch 2 has been out for almost a month now and while Nintendo already shared an official chart confirming the compatibility of certain Switch accessories, our American-based senior video producer Zion Grassl has now gone a step further with a video reminder.
He’s been testing various first and third-party Switch accessories with Nintendo’s new hybrid system and has now shared this handy video of what does and doesn’t work on the Switch 2. There’s even some stuff that kind of works, but still has some setbacks. If you want the full rundown, check out the video above.
