Nintendo’s Switch Online ‘Missions and Rewards’ program has today added a new wave of icons based on the Game Boy title Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins.
As you can see below, there are icons featuring Mario and even Wario, and they’ll set you back 10 Platinum Points each. These icons will be available between now and 6th January 2024, so get them while you can (thanks, NSO Icons Alerts):

Developer Summitsphere has announced that its upcoming Wario Land-inspired platformer Antonblast will be further delayed on the Nintendo Switch.
Although the game is still scheduled to launch on Steam on 3rd December 2024, it’s been determined that the Nintendo Switch version simply isn’t quite up to scratch. In a social media announcement, director Tony Grayson said “We need more time to make sure that this version of the game is running at peak performance and meeting our own high standards, as well as Nintendo’s”.

Available now for a discounted price of $9.99 / £8.99, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete removes all monetisation that was present in the previous version of the game, allowing you to unlock everything via in-game progression. After 31st January 2025, the price of the game will double to $19.99 / £17.99, so don’t faff around if you’re itching to download it.

Bro, c’mon.
If you’re anything like us, then chances are you’ve played Super Mario Galaxy to death. After all, even 17 years (!) after its release on the Wii, it’s still considered to be one of, if not the best 3D Mario game.
When completing some of the tasks in the game, we have to admit that once that irresistible Power Star pops up, we tend to leg it over and grab it as soon as humanly possible. We wouldn’t want to risk wandering off and potentially dying now, would we?

Well, this is it – the final month of 2024 and we’re going out with a bang (or rather blast) starting with Antonblast and games like Square Enix’s FANTASIAN Neo Dimension.
Just days later you can look forward to some classics including RollerCoaster Tycoon and Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered, as well as the retro platformer Croc which is also getting a revival at some point this month.

New games for a new year.

Fixes, improvements and a sales update.
The Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed developers are still releasing new updates for the game and the second major one has now arrived.
This “second patch” for the game fixes some issues and also makes various improvements to the game. Most notably there is a fix tied to “extra content movies” not unlocking correctly. Here’s the full rundown via the official Steam game page:

Highlighting the “story of Shadow & Maria”.
We already know Sonic 3 movie director Jeff Fowler has a special connection with Shadow the Hedgehog, and now ahead of the third movie’s launch this month, he’s taken to social media to show off the “first piece of concept art” created for the latest outing.
As mentioned (spoiler warning), it shows an emotional moment between Shadow and Maria – with the third outing highlighting “one of the most important in the entire Sonic Universe”.
