Nippon Ichi Software has announced that it will be launching Disgaea 7 Complete in Autumn 2025 on the Nintendo Switch 2.

Originally released in 2023 as Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless, a Complete Edition launched exclusively in Japan the following year on Switch, PS5, and PS4. A Western release wasn’t confirmed at the time, and now it seems that this is exclusive to the Switch 2.

PSA: Splatoon 3 On Switch Has Made Some Cuts To Keep Pace With Switch 2

A proper scenery chewer.

Hooray! Splatoon 3 is one of our favourite Switch games and today it got a snazzy (free) Switch 2 upgrade which, as we reported earlier, takes advantage of the extra power of Nintendo’s new machine.

But according to the patch notes, when players are splatting on Switch 1, they’ll notice some downgrades compared to how it used to be.

Video: Here’s How Splatoon 3 On Switch 2 Improves Visuals And Performance

Splat-tastic.

In case you missed it, Splatoon 3 has been updated to version 10.0.0, bringing with it a whole bunch of new content, but also improving the game’s visuals and performance for those playing on Switch 2.

But how has it been improved, exactly? Well, the above video should clear things up quite nicely for you. We’re mainly looking at bumps in resolution and frame rate, and this is perhaps most obvious within the Splatsville hub area, which notably at a stable, albeit sluggish 30fps on the Switch.

Cross-platform saves are now available.

Just in time for the arrival of the Switch 2, the award-winning and highly addictive roguelike bullet shooter Vampire Survivors has received a Nintendo platform update.

Feature: 11 Games With ‘Secret’ Performance Bumps You Should Revisit On Switch 2

2 the max.

One pleasant surprise of the Switch 2 launch, beyond the advertised upgrades — free and otherwise — to various Switch games, has been seeing how some Switch games that once struggled to hit their frame rate targets have gotten a nice boost on the new console.

It seems that Switch 1 games with unlocked frame rates are getting a largely untouted bump in the performance department, with games like the nigh-on unplayable Batman: Arkham Knight — which we called “one of the worst ports we’ve ever played” — now becoming a viable option on Switch 2. Loads times have also shot down for some titles. Result!

Review: Fortnite (Switch 2) – A Visual Overhaul & Neat Mouse Mode Tricks For Ol’ Reliable

A mouse-t play.

Listen. I’m not gonna dive into this review of Fortnite on Switch 2 with any ideas of pretending to know everything, or even understand anything, about a game that’s grown from hastily retooled battle royale to…well…it looks kind of like Roblox now, in all honesty. What on earth is going on here?

Yes, since the last time I launched into a game of Epic’s Fortnite, it’s changed, I think it’s fair to say, immeasurably. The menu system that you boot into is incredibly confusing if you haven’t been keeping up with the changes, and looks exactly like the mess of game modes, fan content, and madness I watch my sons syphon through on a daily basis in the Roblox Corporation’s behemoth.

Poll: Are You Happy With Switch 2’s Screen? Because Some People Certainly Aren’t

“It should have been an OLED screen from the get-go”.

One aspect of the Nintendo Switch 2 that has generated a lot of interest is its display. While Nintendo released an OLED model of the original Switch, which massively improved over the launch model’s LCD screen, for Switch 2, it has opted to return to LCD technology.

On the whole, it’s fair to say that the decision has gone down fairly well; as we reported after our first hands-on sessions, the panel used in the Switch 2 is leagues ahead of the one we got back in 2017, with superb brightness and bold colours.

Random: Mario Kart World Players, Take Heed – This Is What Happens When You Throw A Blue Shell In First Place

“Mario Kart World is beautiful”.

Mario Kart World is proving to be a big hit with fans, thanks to its range of tracks, the open-world mode and its online features. It still has the accursed Blue Shell, of course, which you can thankfully dodge if you know what you’re doing.

This weapon has been ruining friendships for years and is one of the many tactics the Mario Kart series employs to avoid having a single player dominate the race. When used, it dashes to the front of the pack and takes out the lead driver, evening the odds.
