Review: The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition – A Sublime Sequel, Now Sublimer

Come on and join the Kohga.

It felt weird coming back to Tears of the Kingdom, one of my favourite gaming experiences evz, so soon after I had wrapped it up for the first time. Time has sped by unfathomably quickly, and I wasn’t sure whether a performance boost and an additional mobile app would be enough to let the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition get its hooks in me to quite the same extent as its predecessor did back in 2023.

Nonetheless, I couldn’t call myself a true Zelda fan if I didn’t at least have a gander at this new package. I started a new save file (because that’s an option now), blinked, and suddenly realised that five hours had passed.

Classic Atari 2600 Title ‘Adventure’ Is Being Revived As A Metroidvania

Launching later this year.

We must admit, when Atari announced Adventure of Samsara over the weekend, it took us a good couple of minutes to realise it was officially linked to the classic 2600 game Adventure.

Watching the trailer, the overall look and feel of the game didn’t really form any connections in our mind, but then the title came up and we thought “heh, Adventure of Samsara from Atari, that’s kinda like the original Adventure”. Slumped in chairs after caning the Switch 2 for a few days, the penny finally dropped.

Review: Genki Sleeper Case – A “Virtually Indestructible” Switch 2 Carry Case That Looks As Good As It Protects

Don’t sleep on this one.

When you’ve got a shiny new handheld like the Switch 2, getting a good carry case is of the utmost importance. However, not all carry cases are created equal; some are fine when it comes to providing a modicum of protection on the move, while others are built with a little more robustness. I’m pleased to report that Genki’s Sleeper Case ($42.99 / £36) is definitely in the latter camp and perhaps represents one of the best Switch 2 cases on the market right now.

The first thing that struck me when I removed the Sleeper Case from its packaging was just how sturdy it felt. According to Genki, the case is constructed with “materials trusted in motorsport gear”, and it certainly feels that way.

Xbox Officially Enters The Handheld Space, But Nintendo Won’t Be Worried

This feels as niche as it gets.

Xbox has officially entered the handheld space with the announcement of two new devices: the ROG Xbox Ally and the ROG Xbox Ally X.

Launching toward the end of 2025, the new portable systems are the result of a collaboration between Xbox and Asus. They aim to take advantage of Xbox Anywhere, a service that lets you play across console, PC, and supported handhelds.

Review: The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker (GameCube) – A Timeless Treasure

Cel-da? Is…is that you?

In honour of the game’s arrival on Switch 2 as part of the Nintendo Classics GameCube lineup, here’s our new retro review of one of Link’s most memorable adventures…

If I were to put together a list of my favourite pre-Switch-era Zelda games, those that came before the franchise-transforming Breath of the Wild, where would 2002’s The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker fit in?

Review: Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S (Switch 2) – A Disappointing Update For A Modern Puzzle Classic

T-blocks keep fallin’ on my head.

We’re making this a trend now, huh? It’s never long before Puyo Puyo Tetris makes its way onto the scene. Such was the case back in 2017 with the launch of the original Switch, when a worldwide release of 2014’s Puyo Puyo Tetris (which released on Wii U and 3DS in Japan) served as one of the very first games available for Nintendo’s then-fledgling hybrid.

It was arguably a ‘right place, right time’ moment for the crossover franchise, appealing to casual Tetris fans, puzzle game die-hards, and the massive influx of players just looking for more things to play on their shiny new system. Crucially, it helped reintroduce Puyo Puyo to the wider global market after a lengthy hiatus from localising the franchise.

YouTube Is Working With Nintendo To Make Its App Available On Switch 2

It’s one of many video apps currently not available.

In case you’re wondering if it will make a return, Nintendo has already flagged this in its backward compatibility tests, noting how the issue with YouTube is “being investigated”. In an update, a user of this app has reached out to YouTube via social media and received the following response.
