Dredge’s Next Expansion Update ‘The Iron Rig’ Launches This August

More DLC is on the way.

The spooky fishing sim Dredge is getting its next dose of DLC on 15th August 2024, with its new ‘Iron Rig’ update.

This update is the “second official expansion” for this title. As highlighted in the PR, it adds a new story, new tiers of equipment, abilities, gadgets and consumables. There’s also 50 new fish being added, a new tier of fishing equipment, new characters, new hazards, new lore and new world events.

Moonstone Island Launches On Switch Later This Month

Moon on a Switch.

Studio Supersoft’s creature-collecting, deckbuilding life-sim Moonstone Island is coming to Switch on 19th June.

As announced by publisher Raw Fury with the new trailer above, the game — which launched on PC last year — will be making the jump to Nintendo’s platform along with new collectible spirits and a new marriage component.

Swipe Right To Fight In Turn-Based Combat Dating Adventure ‘Nova Hearts’

Announced as part of the Future of Play Direct, turn-based combat dater Nova Hearts is confirmed to be coming to Switch along with other platforms something this year.

Coming from developer Lightbulb Crew (Othercide), Nova Hearts blends genres with dating sim elements paired with turn-based battles and a dose of the cosmic for something that feels decidedly unique and quite the departure from the darkness of its previous game, as you can see from the trailer above.

Cult Of The Lamb Announces Free Local Co-Op Update, Out This August

As part of the Devolver Digital presentation today, Cult of the Lamb announced its next free update ‘Unholy Alliance’ would add local co-op and the Goat as a new playable character.

Day of the Devs is here once again! This bi-annual celebration, from Double Fine Productions and iam8bit, of the weird and wonderful world of indies is always a delight, and at Summer Game Fest 2024, the showcase didn’t disappoint.

We got a look at 20 games, including seven World Premieres. These range from the sweet to the silly to the spectacular. Some highly-anticipated indies — including Mossmouth and The Game Bakers’ next games — might have stolen the show, but everything here is worth a look. The big question for us is, “Are these coming to Switch?”. That’s always difficult for these bigger showcases, but we’ve got all the answers.

While we were very excited to see when this one will be coming our way, the real star of this new trailer is a better look at the all-new Shadow campaign. This fresh story will see you speeding through iconic locations from the Hedgehog’s history to take on the Black Doom. Ooooo.

Random: Here’s How Much It Costs To Showcase A Trailer At Summer Game Fest

Hint: it’s quite a bit.

Have you ever wondered how much it would actually cost publishers to showcase a trailer at Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest Opening Showcase? Well, probably not. But you’re here now, which means you’re likely just a little bit curious, right?

Thanks to Esquire (via Eurogamer), the costs for game trailers have been revealed, and it ain’t cheap, folks. Basically, publishers looking to showcase a one-minute trailer will need to fork up $250,000. Add 30 seconds and you’re looking at $350,000. Two minutes is $450,000, and two-and-a-half minutes is $550,000.

Nintendo’s ‘Mega Extreme Fun Sale’ Brings Tasty Discounts To Select eShop Titles (North America)

Nintendo of America is back with a fresh batch of eShop discounts as the ‘Mega Extreme Fun Sale’ is now underway.

The sale kicked off yesterday (6th June) and will run until 16th June, bringing some welcome discounts to a selection of games and DLC expansions. This one is only available on the North American eShop at the moment, though we’re sure that it won’t be too long before Europe gets a similar sale period of its own.
