Howdy folks, and welcome to another edition of Box Art Brawl!

We’re still thinking about the Switch 2 , which was the subject our big bumper BAB last weekend. We compared all of Nintendo’s first-party titles with box art for the new console, and just barely squeaking out a win with 42% of the vote was Donkey Kong Bananza! Mario Kart World was extremely close however, and at the time of writing this, is sitting at 41%. Both are excellent.

Katana Zero’s Long-Awaited DLC Is “Still Coming” To Switch

And it’s “still free” when it arrives.

During the Triple-i showcase earlier this week, developer Askiisoft reminded Katana ZERO fans about the free DLC.

DOOM + DOOM II Is Getting A New Limited Run Collector’s Edition For $666

Go to Hell.

The legendary FPS Doom has been released again and again over the years and distributor Limited Run Games has now announced a special bundle for Doom + DOOM II limited to just 666 copies and priced at a whopping $666 USD (or your regional equivalent).

The ‘DOOM + DOOM II: Will It Run Edition‘ will be available for Switch and multiple other platforms with pre-orders opening next week. It will include multiple items that run doom including a box (yes, a box), a handheld cacodemon, and of course a regular physical copy of this two-in-one offering. Additionally, you’ll also get Sigil and Sigil II, and much more. Fortunately, there are some cheaper options available.

Video: Nintendo Today Gives Us Another Look At Zelda: Wind Waker For Switch Online

The GameCube library is exclusive to Switch 2.

Last week Nintendo announced GameCube games would be added to Switch 2’s online expansion pack tier at launch.

If you haven’t already somehow seen it, one of the three games joining the service at launch is The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. Nintendo Treehouse showcased gameplay footage of this returning title last week, and now this week more footage has been shared on the Nintendo Today mobile app (thanks, Universo Nintendo).

Rime Developer Tequila Works Is Auctioning Off Its Game Rights After Bankruptcy

Including some in-development titles.

Tequila Works, the developer behind the lovely puzzler RiME, horror cinematic platformer Deadlight, and adorable League of Legends spin-off Song of Nunu, is auctioning off a number of its game rights and IPs.

19 different listings can be found on the auction website Escrapalia, including for the aforementioned IPs (excluding LoL, of course), The Invisible Hours, and a web domain. Rime and GYLT are currently sitting at 15,500 € after 150 bids on each, while the web domain sits at 270 € after 12 bids. The listings are open until 14th May 2025.

Nintendo Is Reportedly Stockpiling Switch 2 Units For US Launch

Most units from Vietnam are apparently being shipped to America.

A new report from Bloomberg states that Nintendo has the potential to build up “a stockpile of millions of consoles” from Vietnam ahead of the Switch 2’s launch on 5th June 2025.

The article (paywalled) states that Hosiden Corp., which is one of the three main assemblers for the console and based in the Southeast Asian country, apparently shipped more units of the new console in February of this year than the previous six months combined — around 725,000. This is according to customs data provided to Bloomberg by the NBD.
