Update: Emails have been sent to customers.

A short time ago, Dbrand came under fire for design issues with its Killswitch Case for Switch 2 – in short, some users were finding that, with the case attached, the magnetic connection between the console and its Joy-Con 2 controllers was weakened, leading to them disengaging unintentionally.

At the time, Dbrand appeared to dismiss the issue, only to quickly apologise and promise to issue replacement parts that would solve the problem. It has now contacted its customers to clarify how it is dealing with the fault.

Of course you did – you’re an intelligent human being. And over the course of the Switch generation, with all the company’s eggs now in a single console basket, Nintendo has diversified its business, leaning into non-gaming areas and getting its IP under the noses of a broader audience with mobile apps, movies, theme parks, stores, and all that game. This has been a stated goal for many years, and the monster success of The Super Mario Bros. Movie worked as planned, funnelling interest back to its gaming hardware and software, resulting in revenue bumps across the board.

Pre-orders are now live.

LEGO fans are in for a treat with not one but two new titles announced today for the Switch and both are due out later this year.

First up we’ve got LEGO Voyagers – a new two-player co-op adventure all about “friendship and play”. There’ll even be a “Friend’s Pass” a bit like Hazelight’s games (Split Fiction) where you can play together with just one copy of the game.

If you thought the day’s surprises were over, think again, as Bethesda, id Software, and retro specialists Nightdive Studios have announced Heretic + Hexen, the “definitive re-release” of two classic spell shooters. Oh, and it’s also out right now (thanks, Gematsu!).

For just $14.99 (it’s not up on the EU eShop at the time of writing this), you’ll be able to pick up two of Raven Software’s iconic first-person shooters which introduced inventory systems, vertical aiming, and character classes to the genre.

I need your clothes, your boots, and your new game.

Reef Entertainment has released a new overview trailer for Terminator 2D: No Fate, and sorry, but we know you’re all excited for Silksong and whatnot, but this looks bloody amazing.

Clocking in at just over three minutes, the trailer takes us through some of the levels you’ll be exploring, the types of gameplay at hand, and the modes available at launch. You can go through the campaign as standard, partake in a boss rush mode, an infinite mode, or an arcade mode to really get those nostalgia juices flowing.

After a few lengthy delays, the tactical RPG Demonschool has finally secured a final release date for the Switch, and you’ve not got long to wait. As announced during the Indie World Japan showcase, the Necrosoft Games-developed title will launch on 3rd September 2025.

The game is influenced by the likes of Persona and Shin Megami Tensei, along with – and this is brilliant – italian horror cinema..? Excuse me?! So cool. Plenty of footage has already been made available through trailers and gameplay showcases, so if you haven’t checked out Demonschool yet, then definitely take a peek when you can. It looks awesome.

Nintendo will be making an appearance at this year’s Gamescom, and it looks like the company’s full line-up of games has been revealed (thanks, Games Wirtschaft). It’s a doozy, folks.

Included in the selection are the likes of Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, Pokémon Legends Z-A, Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition, Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade, Hollow Knight: Silksong, and Hades II. While not definitiively confirmed, we can reasonably assume that these will all be playable on the Switch 2.

Four additional characters and much more.

Alongside EVO 2025 this weekend, Capcom announced it would be releasing a free title update for the Capcom Fighting Collection 2 next week on 7th August 2025.

It will add multiple quality of life upgrades, new artwork, remix tracks from Cap-JAMS, and four characters to Street Fighter Alpha 3 UPPER including Maki, Yun, Eagle, and Ingrid. Below are the games included in this collection. They all support online play and rollback netcode.
