This New Hand-Drawn 3D Platformer Might Be Teasing A Switch 2 Release

Coming to “Nintendo Switch(es)” this June.

Last year, the “hand-drawn 3D platformer” Ruffy and the Riverside was announced for the Nintendo Switch. In an update, the German indie developer Zockrates Laboratories has now confirmed the game will be coming to “Nintendo Switch(es) on June 26th, 2025”.

Make of this what you will, but given Nintendo’s Switch 2 is due to arrive at some point before the end of this year, it seems like the wording of the PR is definitely hinting at an eventual release on Nintendo’s hybrid successor.

Lunar Remastered Collection Talks New Voice Acting And Classic Mode

“Throughout development we frequently consulted GAME ARTS”.

With just a month to go before the Lunar Remastered Collection launches, GungHo Online Entertainment America has shared some insight into the upcoming rereleases.

Speaking to PlayStation.Blog, GungHo Producer Matthias Pergams says that the team initially struggled to decide what version to base the remasters on — as the games were release for both SEGA-CD and later for the PlayStation (Lunar: Silver Star Story also came to PSP and mobile).

PSA: Be Careful, These Light-Up Joy-Con Look As Dodgy As They Come

AI spy with my little eye.

We Switch fans are no strangers to AI-generated software — heck, we hardly bat an eyelid at it when opening the eShop any more — but seeing it used to promote hardware still catches us a little off guard. Sure, the product likely exists, but can we assume that it actually has any of its promised features if even the images have been tampered with?

That’s how we arrived at UGR Tech’s ‘Wireless Controllers for Nintendo Switch with RGB Lights‘ (as spotted by Yanko Design). At an initial glance, these controllers look pretty darn funky, boasting all the features of Nintendo’s first-party offering (rumble, gyro etc.) but with the added bonus of some jazzy RGB strips and rapid press ‘Turbo’ buttons.

Review: 8BitDo Ultimate 2C Bluetooth Controller – Probably The Best Budget Switch Pad

8BitDid it again.

It’s no secret that 8BitDo is one of the premier manufacturers of third-party Switch accessories, with the firm making waves over the years with the likes of the SN30 Pro Gamepad and the M30. Its latest Switch pad, the Ultimate 2C Bluetooth Controller, is another slam dunk, offering up a compelling alternative to Nintendo’s Pro Controller with minimum concessions at half the price ($29.99 / £24.99 / €29.99).

Available in pink and two shades of blue, the Ultimate 2C rocks most of the functionality you want in a Switch pad. You’ve got gyro support, Hall effect analogue sticks, a proper D-pad, roughly 15 hours of playtime on a single charge, and rumble (not HD), with an extra pair of remappable ‘L4’ and ‘R4’ shoulder bumpers thrown in for good measure. The only major missing component is NFC support for your amiibo; a shame, for sure, but potentially not a dealbreaker for many.

For the rest of you, there’s only one more sleep to go until you can venture back into Mira on the Nintendo Switch, whether it be for the very first time or a repeat trip. Since we were so busy yesterday getting our review all ready to go (and checking out opinions from other outlets, too), we didn’t quite catch the launch trailer that dropped from Nintendo’s official YouTube channel.

PSA: Nintendo Reminds Us It’s Winding Down Gold Points Next Week

“We appreciate your continued support”.

Last month, Nintendo announced it would be discontinuing the My Nintendo Gold Points program, with it no longer possible to earn these points after a certain date.

In case you missed this, Nintendo has issued a reminder on social media ahead of the big day next week on 24th March 2025 (or 25th March depending on your location). While you’ll no longer be able to receive Gold Points from purchases, there will still be other ways to earn points:

Talking Point: What’s Your Dream Pokémon LEGO Set?

Wish upon a Starmie.

It’s the collaboration that we only thought possible in our dreams, but LEGO and The Pokémon Company are officially teaming up on a set (dare we say “sets“?) in 2026.

The problem is, we have no idea what’s in store yet — the brief teaser from LEGO showcased a bricky Pikachu tail and that’s about it. It’s safe to assume that the flagship ‘mon will be landing a set of its own, but with a series as full of icons as Pokémon, we have to hope that there’s room for something a little less electric down the line too.

Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition

Give ’em Skell.

Well folks, at the time of writing, we’re merely a couple of days away from the launch of Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition on Switch. As such, reviews of Monolith Soft’s revamped port have started to crop up and, spoiler alert, it sounds like a fresh trip to Mira may well be on the cards for many of you.

Looking at our own review for a moment, we said that Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition is “up there with the all-time great sci-fi RPGs and an absolute must-play”, awarding it a coveted score of 10/10. Quite frankly, it’s a remarkable improvement over the original Wii U version, with Monolith introducing brand-new content, streamlining important mechanics, and boosting the visual quality.

New Leak Suggests LEGO Pokémon Sets Might Finally Come Our Way Next Year

Mega(blok) Evolution.

After many years of exclusivity with MEGA Bloks, it looks like The Pokémon Company might finally be teaming up with LEGO in 2026. That is, if a recent leak is to be believed.

According to a post on the fittingly-named r/Legoleak Reddit forum, the LEGO Mexico Facebook page uploaded a short video teasing the Pokémon collaboration. The original upload has since been removed, but the footage uploaded to Reddit shows a bricky Pikachu tail shocking the two company logos to life.
