The legendary 1995 role-playing game Chrono Trigger is currently celebrating its 30th anniversary, and as part of this, Square Enix has provided a sales update.
According to an official post on its website, combined sales (across all platforms) since the game’s original Super Famicom release have now surpassed over five million copies worldwide.

Mojang hopes to bring it to “as many devices as possible”.
Ahead of the Switch 2’s arrival, developer Mojang has announced Minecraft will be getting a visual graphics upgrade. This was revealed during the latest ‘Minecraft Live’ broadcast for March 2025 and the update is officially titled ‘Vibrant Visuals‘.
The footage on display, captured on a high-end PC, is a visual upgrade that can be toggled on and enhances everything you see in the game but doesn’t impact the gameplay or the mechanics.

Jeff Minter is, perhaps quite rightly, referred to as a legend within the gaming industry. His career following the founding of Llamasoft in 1982 has spawned dozens of the most unique and recognisable titles in existence, including Tempest 4000, Akka Arrh, Polybius, Attack of the Mutant Camels, and Gridrunner.
Those unfamiliar with Minter should check out Digital Eclipse’s Llamasoft: The Jeff Minter Story, a phenomenal interactive documentary looking at the creator’s career with dozens of playable games from the Llamasoft back catalogue.

Well folks, the weekend is here once again! We’re getting so close to that Switch 2 Direct, we can almost taste it…
Anyway, this week in the land of Nintendo, Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition launched, and crikey-mikey, it’s an absolute cracker. Shock, we know. We gave it the ol’ review treatment, of course, but we also reported on what looks to be a hidden 60fps mode while also providing some context around that additional ‘sex’ warning from PEGI. Hmm.

It’s already topping the charts.
Monolith Soft has become a huge part of Nintendo’s software division and this week it rolled out Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition for Switch.
Now that the game is available, it’s followed this up with its usual website update, where it’s now added this project to its already incredible lineup of games. This same page also features Nintendo projects it’s assisted (like the Splatoon series), as well as the company’s past games dating back to the GameCube and PlayStation 2 era.

Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition on Switch has been rated 12+ by PEGI (Pan European Game Information), just like every other entry in the series.
What folks have seemingly noticed, however, is that the new release comes with an added ‘sex’ warning as part of the overall rating; something that wasn’t present on the original Wii U version.
