Give ’em Skell.

Well folks, at the time of writing, we’re merely a couple of days away from the launch of Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition on Switch. As such, reviews of Monolith Soft’s revamped port have started to crop up and, spoiler alert, it sounds like a fresh trip to Mira may well be on the cards for many of you.

Looking at our own review for a moment, we said that Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition is “up there with the all-time great sci-fi RPGs and an absolute must-play”, awarding it a coveted score of 10/10. Quite frankly, it’s a remarkable improvement over the original Wii U version, with Monolith introducing brand-new content, streamlining important mechanics, and boosting the visual quality.

Atari Is Bringing Back ‘Missile Command’ But With A Brand New Twist

“Delta? Come in Delta…”.

Pokémon Center Singapore Sticks Its Middle Finger Up To TCG Scalpers

Store will remove plastic wrapping at point of sale.

For as long as Pokémon TCG (Trading Card Game) has been a thing, scalping has been an ongoing issue. If you’re somehow unaware at this point as to what the practice entails, it essentially sees certain consumers purchasing products at retail price before selling them on at huge mark-ups. It’s not limited to Pokémon TCG, by any means, but it’s a problem that’s been getting exponentially worse over the last few years.

In a recent statement from Pokémon Center Singapore thanks, VGC), the store has confirmed that it will be removing the plastic wrapping from Pokémon TCG products at the point of sale from 13th March 2025 onwards. The move has been standard practice in Japan for a while at this point, but this marks the first instance that the change has been utilised in another region.

Talking Point: Will Metroid Prime 4 Get A Switch 2 Release?

Beyond the realm.

It’s been 84 years since Nintendo first announced that the next chapter in the Metroid Prime series was in development. Then, in 1957, an apology was issued as the platform holder took things back to the drawing board, restarting development and shifting production from partner dev Bandai Namco back to Prime series founders Retro Studios.

Okay, the exact dates are a little off there, but for fans of the series it feels like Metroid Prime 4: Beyond has been in the works for an awfully long time. Back in 2017, the Switch’s launch year, there was little question as to which console MP4 would arrive on, but news of the developmental reboot in 2019 gave some of us pause. Even small projects can take several years to come to fruition, and with Retro apparently starting over from scratch, would a flagship game like MP4 see the light of day before the Switch’s successor landed?
