We thought its reign was over, but Super Mario Party Jamboree has knocked DK off the top spot this week with an additional 17,355 sales to its name. Donkey Kong Country Returns HD hangs around in second, and other familiar Nintendo faces pad out the rest of the top 10.

Darwin or Darlose, the trailer has us sold.
Last night’s PlayStation ‘State of Play’ showcase wasn’t stacked with Switch news, but one announcement that did stand out to us was Darwin’s Paradox!, an upcoming stealth platformer from Konami that appears to pack more than a little Inside DNA.
This is a game that sees you play as Darwin, an octopus who’s plucked from the sea and forced into the harsh industrial world of evil megacorp ‘UFOOD INC. ‘ You’ll want to help ol’ eight legs escape, naturally, and to do so you’ll have to sucker, swing, ink spray and blend into the dystopian surroundings, all while avoiding the ever-watchful gaze of your captors (as well as fire, nasty piranha’s, deadly falls etc.).

Ahead of ‘Way of the Sword’ next year.
Capcom’s first ‘Spotlight’ broadcast of the year contained some surprises and one of them happened to be the announcement of Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny.
This title will be getting remastered for multiple platforms including the Switch and will be launching at some point in 2025. The original version of this action-adventure first made its debut on the PlayStation 2 in 2002.

PlayStation’s ‘State of Play’ broadcast has just wrapped and it was packed with all sorts of announcements, including a few Sega ones. Apart from a look at Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, we’ve also got an update on the new Shinobi project.
It’s now been officially confirmed Shinobi: Art of Vengeance will launch on Switch and multiple other platforms on 29th August 2025, with pre-orders now live on select platforms for $29.99 USD (with eShop pre-orders to go live at a “later date”).

I, Robot is a new psychedelic reimagining of the 1984 arcade classic of the same name, with Llamasoft and Atari partnering up once again after their previous efforts on Akka Arrh and Tempest 4000. Due for launch in Spring 2025, it’ll be gracing the Nintendo Switch as a digital download (though given Atari’s strong history with physical releases, we can probably expect a boxed version later down the line – make sure your wishes are heard!).

Trains are great. We love a good train ride. It’s even better these days given the advancements in technology, space, and comfort (though granted, there’s still also a load of work to be done; especially in the UK), making particularly lengthy journeys a joy if you happen to have some suitable entertainment with you.
Amtrak, the national passenger railroad company in North America, is seemingly going one step further in promoting its onboard capabilities, specifying its suitability for gamers in particular. As spotted by user Smyles on social media, Amtrak is specifically encouraging passengers to bring along CRT displays to help facilitate onboard Super Smash Bros. Melee tournaments.
