Keep your distance… this bolt-action rifle fires jet-assisted shells that explode shrapnel in all directions upon impact. All directions. Even your face.

CB-9 Exploding Crossbow

Kaboom! Enjoy powerful exploding bolts that dish out max damage upon direct impact. Gravity must be accounted for when aiming.

G-123 Thermite Grenade

This little beauty can stick to surfaces before burning up to a toasty 2000°C.

GP-31 Grenade Pistol

Domestic versions of this armour allow colonial farmers to safely plant crops and mines side-by-side while staying in one piece.

Of course, always accessorise your choice of armour with brand-new capes – Harbinger of True Equality, Eagle’s Fury, or Freedom’s Tapestry – as you mix and match your lethal loadout of liberation.

New Foamstar – Chloe Noir

Mysterious Swing will feature the new Foamstar Chloe Noir. Chloe Noir is a Foamstar who combines a charge rifle–that can shoot straight foam shots–with skills to hunt down opponents using her bubble beastie, Ciel. She blasts all her enemies with the utmost precision.

Everyone can unlock Chloe Noir for free by progressing the Season Pass to Tier 31. 

She may also be unlocked immediately for users who purchase the Premium Pass, so please check out the Season Pass!

Mysterious Swing – Season Pass introduction

Earn XP via online matches, completing missions or clearing Challenges to progress through the Season Pass tiers and unlock skins, items, and more for free. In the Mysterious Swing Season Pass: Chloe Noir, a weapon skin for Jet Justice, a character skin for Mel T, and more will be unlockable. By purchasing the paid Premium Pass, you can unlock even more glorious rewards. Players will immediately unlock any rewards up to their Season Pass tier at time of purchase.

New feature – Skill Gems 

Mysterious Swing will introduce Skill Gems as a fourth slot of bubble gems which are used to strengthen your Foamstars. Skill Gem effects differ among the Foamstars allowing players to enhance each Foamstars’ skills and Superstar skill. Try making a Skill Gem by using Energy Stones acquired from playing! The existing three bubble gem slots are now categorized as Star Gems.

Ranked Party – Compete for seasonal rankings

Mysterious Swing will also have both the solo-based Ranked Party Lonestar and the team-based Ranked Party Tribe-Vibe as limited-time events.

Ranks are categorized into seven tiers: Bronze Star, Silver Star, Gold Star, Platinum Star, Diamond Star, Superstar, and Party Legend. Once enough Rank Points (RP) have been attained, you will be able to partake in Rank Up Trials.

Extreme Party – season events with crazy rules

The new season will also feature two types of Extreme Parties and hold each event twice during the season. All players will battle with Chloe Noir in the All Chloe Party. The second event, Bubbly Penguin Party, will have all players use Penny Gwyn while only being able to use her two skills and Superstar skill to battle.

Unlock free in-game items available for a limited-time

Throughout the season, we will be providing items that are unlockable for free in the in-game shop’s Events section. The items will be updated each weekend, so please check out the in-game shop!

Eventually, we all will contend with grief. It can come in many forms and from many different sources. Surgent Studios’ (founded by  Abubakar Salim) debut game, Tales of Kenzera: Zau, is a 2.5D story-driven, action-exploration game all about facing those emotions and discovering how love gives us the courage to press on after a devastating loss, and it’s coming to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog at launch on April 23rd, 2024! (Available with PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium memberships).

Players will take control of Zau, a young warrior-shaman from Amandla, who seeks out Kalunga, the God of Death, to bargain with him to bring his Baba back from the realm of the dead.

Wielding two powerful masks imbued with the cosmic power of the sun and the moon in a beautiful and chaotic dance, Zau travels across Kenzera, a rich mystical realm inspired by Bantu tales, fighting tough ancestral spirits and platforming obstacles to find the 3 mighty beings that have eluded the God of Death.

Zau will discover and unlock new powerful abilities and skills during his quest to become a worthy Nganga and reclaim his lost Baba. These include mighty Spirit Attacks like the ferocious Lunar Beam blast that can be unleashed to obliterate enemies using the Moon Mask…

…and the engulfing fire Supernova that can be used to scorch nearby foes with Shamanistic fire using the Sun Mask.

Throughout Zau’s adventure, players will earn experience from exploration and combat. This experience can be spent on skill points split between two skill trees, one for the Moon mask and one for the Sun mask. These skills will enable Zau to become more powerful and learn new formidable attack combos and feats , becoming a fierce warrior-shaman.

Along his journey, Zau will also find ancient Shaman Shrines which gift him unbelievable abilities, such as the power of Gliding across the plains to cover long distances or slow his descent…

…or the cosmic Pulse ability which can enable him to to break down and reconstruct barriers in his path.

Players will discover a rich universe with untold lore of chaos & order and journey through mystical biomes inspired by the emotions and questions that humans face along the journey of grief, giving you key thinking points to reflect on as you and Zau travel across Kenzera. like the gloomy swamp-filled Woodlands and the Deadlands, home to fatal lava pools, biomes all bursting with colour and depth

Humanity and healing is at the heart of Tales of Kenzera: Zau. On this journey, Zau will encounter other characters who are also going through their own personal journey of grief, who aid him to learn and grow from their experiences.

Players will find great Baobab trees during their adventure. These trees offer great meaning to Zau, as his Baba would take him to these very trees to meditate. While exploring these, you will witness those moments of  remembrance and healing that Zau goes through without even realising.

These enthralling visuals are accompanied by a captivating and enchanting original soundtrack by multi-award-winning composer Nainita Desai.

Zau will also encounter Yumboes, creatures who hail from a world of ever-present joy, and offer respite to Zau at their campfires. You can also fast-travel between discovered campfires.

There’s not long to go until you can explore the beautiful and treacherous lands of Kenzera and embrace the dance of the shaman with the launch date scheduled for April 23, 2024.

We look forward to seeing PlayStation fans exploring Surgent Studio’s Bantu inspired universe and their adventures with Zau when Tales of Kenzera: Zau launches later this month!

Emergency (Launch): Deploy to a wing of the State Disease Control Agency in the wake of a disaster, set around the red sandstone of Sedona, Arizona.

Growhouse (Launch): A re-imagined take on Sphere from Call of Duty®: Vanguard. Fight mid- to long-ranged battles above ground and close up underground.

Tanked (Launch): Drop into Vondel Zoo after hours in this fast-paced, mid-sized map centered around the aquarium and reptile exhibits.

Mid-Season Maps: Play the rundown Grime map next to a derelict canal, plus Checkpoint based on Rebirth Island’s Stronghold.

New Game Modes

Capture the Flag (Launch): Steal the enemy’s flag and return it to your home base while yours is still in place.

Minefield (Launch): Defeated players drop a Proximity Mine where they fall. The mine is only deadly to their team, setting up wild combos. Applied to a variety of game modes.

One in the Chamber (Launch): Start with three lives and a one-hit-kill bullet. Earn another bullet for each elimination. If you’re out, go for the melee finish. 

Plus, Ranked Play: Compete in Ranked Play Season 3, featuring all-new Seasonal and Skill Division rewards.

Zombies Overview

New Rift, New Mission (Mid-Season): Embark on a rescue mission in the third Dark Aether Rift to save Dr. Ava Jansen.

New Challenges, Schematics (Mid-Season): Tackle new Prestige Calling Card and Camo challenges, and face down enemies with three new earnable schematics:

New Warlord (Mid-Season): Warlord Rainmaker has commandeered a fortress on Rahaa Island. Approach the artillery and demolitions expert with caution.

Welcome Back to Rebirth Island (Launch)

Rebirth Island returns, the main destination of your Resurgence matches and Season 3 Ranked Play.

Modes: Along with Rebirth Resurgence, other Season 3 modes include Rebirth Lockdown, Rebirth Resurgence Loaded, and High Trip Resurgence.

Public Events and Contracts: Compete in Public Events like Gulag: Climb and Punishment and Heavy Armor. Take on the new Spy Drones Contract. Attempt the Rebirth Island Champion’s Quest.

New Features: Buff your squad with the Squad Rage Field Upgrade and gear up with the Military Box. See future gas circles with the Foresight Killstreak and improve your abilities with the hard-to-find Specialist Perk Package.

Season 3 Battle Pass

Earn 100+ tiers of content, including four new weapons, eight new Aftermarket Parts, and new Operators like Vladimir Makarov and Snoop Dogg. Up your game with the “Stasis BlackCell” Operator and more with BlackCell premium content.

New Store Offerings: Get new bundles like Tracer Pack: Cheech and Chong, several Godzilla x Kong: New Empire bundles, Tracer Pack: Big Brain Ultra Skin, and more.

Season 3 Combat Pack for PlayStation Plus members

Available on April 10, the Season 3 Combat Pack grants Élodie, “Lockpick” a new Operator Skin “Starry Nightmare”.

PlayStation Plus members will also receive the following: the “Rembrandt Rifle” Assault Rifle Blueprint, the “Raphael Rival” SMG Blueprint, the “Cerulean Enigma” Weapon Charm, the “Cobalt Conspirator” Calling Card, the “Azure Avenger” Weapon Sticker, and the “Anonymous Artist” Emblem.
