Black Friday week has already yielded some tempting deals on Nvidia’s latest mid-range graphics cards, the RTX 4060 and the RTX 4060 Ti. Up at the top of the GPU pyramid, meanwhile, AMD cards are getting in the act as well. Like, say, this £200-off deal on the MSI Radeon RX 7900 XTX Gaming Trio Classic, bringing it down to £900. Still a lot of money, sure, but the RX 7900 XTX is the absolute crème de la crème of the current Radeon lineup, with native 4K performance on par with that of Nvidia’s RTX 4080.

Charles Martinet Will Make A Special Guest Appearance At Nintendo Live 2024

The former voice actor of Mario is now an ambassador.

Earlier this year, Nintendo announced Charles Martinet would no longer be the voice of Mario, but would stay on as a Mario ambassador. Martinet even admitted at the time he wasn’t even sure what it exactly it meant.

With this mind, Nintendo has now shared an update about the events to feature at Nintendo Live 2024, taking place in Tokyo next year, and one of the special segments will be a Mario-themed one titled “Mario Dojo”. According to the official website, Charles will be appearing as a special guest.

Resident Evil 4 Is $30 for Black Friday

It might not technically be Black Friday 2023 yet, but the sales are live at all the major retailers. That means you can save a bunch of money on all kinds of things, including video games. One of the best games of 2023 (see our 10/10 Resident Evil 4 remake review) is a from-the-ground-up remake of Resident Evil 4. Like the remakes of the previous games, this one is excellently made and just phenomenally fun to play. And thanks to Walmart’s Black Friday sale, it’s available on PS5 and Xbox Series X for just $30. That’s a killer deal.

Resident Evil 4 Is $30 for Black Friday

In this reimagined version of the game, we catch up with Leon six years after the Raccoon City disaster. As an agent reporting directly to the President of the United States, he faces his toughest mission yet: rescuing the President’s kidnapped daughter from a mysterious European village engulfed in madness. The remake, reconstructed using Capcom’s RE Engine, enhances the visuals and adds new story elements to deliver a modern gaming experience that feels both new yet true to the original.

The game introduced a close third-person camera that made the tense gameplay feel extra, er, tense. You’ll engage in frenzied combat with the Ganados villagers, explore a European village overrun by murderous villagers, and solve puzzles to survive Leon and Ashley’s whole ordeal.

While the original feels fairly clunky by modern standards, this remake improves the gameplay to meet contemporary survival horror standards. You have an array of attack methods, including enhanced knife skills. The attaché case is back, offering expanded storage, ammunition crafting, and new customization options.

God of War: Ragnarok Drops to Just $35 in This Early Black Friday Deal

Don’t look now, but Black Friday has begun in earnest. There are a ton of PS5 deals available thanks to PlayStation’s Black Friday sale. Some amazing gaming deals are dropping today including Final Fantasy 16, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, and a whole lot more.

One of the standout games from 2022 was God of War Ragnarok. Fans of the series had patiently waited for to return to the frozen landscapes of Asgard with Kratos and Atreus. If you haven’t played this game yet, then you’re missing out. We expected this title to pop up among the deals for Black Friday this year, and we’re just very excited that the 50% discount has gone live so early. Pick up your copy in the next week for the all-time low price of $35 at Best Buy. It’s also on sale for Walmart’s Black Friday sale and at GameStop, but for $5 more (see below).

More Early Black Friday PS5 Deals

Black Friday has rolled around at the perfect time this year. The PS5 has recently had its mid-gen refresh and it has been christened the “slim model”. It’s early days for it so it is currently only available in selected markets. It’ll set you back $499.99 and the current bundle features Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 or Spider-Man 2 at no additional charge; offering potential buyers savings of $70 compared to purchasing the items separately.

They’re not being explicitly advertised as such, but we’re viewing these as Black Friday deals and you should too. You’re getting a brand new console and a new game for just $499.99, which is a great deal worthy of the event. If you don’t feel like grabbing the games as part of the bundle, then you can also just sell on the digital code and make some of your money back.

We’re getting close enough to Black Friday now to start seeing some of the top deals emerge. In other PlayStation news, DualSense Controllers have once again dropped to their sale price of $49 (see here), a reasonable $20-$25 discount depending on which color variant you choose.
