Dragon Age: The Veilguard Drops to Just $49.99 on Xbox for Cyber Monday

Dragon Age: The Veilguard is down to just $49.99 in the Cyber Monday sales, or $69.99 for the Deluxe Edition. It’s just for Xbox players, but at $20 off, it’s still a wonderful offer and one of the best Xbox Cyber Monday deals right now. The action RPG is also down to $62.99 for those on PS5, which is a minor discount in comparison, but still worth mentioning in case you still want to pick up the game.

In their 9/10 review of the game, Leana Hafer said: “Dragon Age: The Veilguard refreshes and reinvigorates a storied series that stumbled through its middle years, and leaves no doubt that it deserves its place in the RPG pantheon. The next Mass Effect is going to have a very tough act to follow, which is not something I ever imagined I’d be saying before I got swept away on this adventure.”

“Enjoyable action combat, a fantastic cast of allies with sweeping story arcs all their own, top-notch cinematics, and moving, nuanced character writing are the wings on which this triumphant dragon soars, pulling out all the stops in a whirlwind tour of Northern Thedas and capping it with a terrific finale that’s built on memorably tough choices and consequences. If we never get another Dragon Age, at least it got to go out on a high note.”

More Xbox Cyber Monday Deals

Cyber Monday has unleashed some of the best Xbox video game deals, offering massive savings on fan favorites and fresh releases. Another standout alongside Dragon Age? Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero for just under $50 as well.

We’ve curated the top picks to make your shopping easier, but if you’re up for a treasure hunt, head over to Amazon and explore their sprawling lineup of Xbox deals. From blockbusters to hidden gems, there’s something for every gamer waiting to be scooped up.

What is Cyber Monday?

Traditionally, Black Friday was the in-store shopping frenzy, while Cyber Monday focused on online deals. While those lines have blurred, Cyber Monday remains the top event for online-focused retailers like Amazon, Newegg, Dell, HP, and Lenovo. Even traditional retailers like Best Buy, Target, and Walmart roll out exclusive online-only offers. Switch and PS5 deals are also now live.

Many of the same deals from Black Friday normally return for Cyber Monday 2024, including some that sold out or expired. Retailers often stagger their inventory, reserving stock for each major sale event. This means Cyber Monday will bring back popular deals alongside brand-new, never-before-seen offers. But, most importantly, Cyber Monday is the final day of the Black Friday, November, sale season, with all the deals going with it.

The Samsung T7, a modern classic of a portable SSD, is up to 45% off in the Cyber Monday sales

Got yet another quality PC storage deal for ya, this time courtesy of Cyber Monday and the Samsung T7 – an almost comically dinky portable SSD that can, nevertheless, stuff itself senseless with file backups and game installations. The 1TB model in particular is going mighty cheap, falling to $88 in the US and £67 in the UK.

On the GTA 6 Trailer’s 1-Year Anniversary, Fans Are Debating YouTube Playlist Updates and Batting Away Misleading AI-Generated Images

As if the GTA 6 community didn’t already have enough to contend with, with images of the moon leading fans towards dead ends, now they’re pinning their hopes on an innocuous YouTube playlist update that may or may not be debunked, and are even having to contend with AI-generated images designed to hoodwink fans into thinking they’re leaked screenshots.

Perhaps it was always going to descend into madness, given we’re now amid the one-year anniversary of GTA 6’s record-breaking Trailer 1 and developer Rockstar has yet to follow it up with any new information or assets. Fans are left having to pick over what they think might be clues as to when Trailer 2 will finally drop, and there’s hardly anything to go on. So, when Rockstar’s official YouTube channel gets a playlist update this close to the one-year anniversary of GTA 6 Trailer 1, fans predictably struggled to cope.

But! This YouTube playlist update appears to be little more than a part of regular updates, at least that’s what some are saying. Stand down! Or, maybe, just lean forward on the edge of your seat. Forgive the double negative, but this doesn’t mean Rockstar won’t reveal GTA 6 Trailer 2, right?

Meanwhile, moderators of the 1.1 million member strong GTA 6 subreddit (can you imagine how many members it’ll have when the game eventually comes out?!) are removing AI-generated images of GTA 6 that are doing the rounds, misleading some into thinking they’re official screenshots when in fact they’re yet more AI slop.

“No AI generated fake and misleading content,” declares the sub rules. “Fake ‘leaks’ and misleading AI generated content will be removed, but quality AI generated fanart is encouraged. AI generated content will be removed at the moderators discretion.”

Incredibly, fans are returning to GTA 6 Trailer 1 to unearth new… information, if you can call it that. For example, one person counted how many feet are shown in the trailer (152, if you were wondering). Another went to the trouble of coming up with a formula to work out exactly how many holes are in Lucia’s cell door net.

It is remarkable that Rockstar has gone nearly a year without following up GTA 6 Trailer 1 with any new information at all. With GTA 6’s fall 2025 release window on PS5 and Xbox Series X and S still on the cards, according to Take-Two, you’d expect Rockstar to pipe up sooner rather than later. Perhaps this week!

While you wait to find out, IGN has much more on GTA 6 to check out, including an ex-Rockstar dev who says the studio probably won’t be able to decide whether GTA 6 is delayed until May 2025, the boss of Take-Two’s coy response on whether GTA 6 is coming to PC, and the expert opinion on whether the PS5 Pro will run GTA 6 at 60 frames per second.

Random: Have You Ever Triggered This Rare Super Mario Galaxy Dialogue?

Bro, c’mon.

If you’re anything like us, then chances are you’ve played Super Mario Galaxy to death. After all, even 17 years (!) after its release on the Wii, it’s still considered to be one of, if not the best 3D Mario game.

When completing some of the tasks in the game, we have to admit that once that irresistible Power Star pops up, we tend to leg it over and grab it as soon as humanly possible. We wouldn’t want to risk wandering off and potentially dying now, would we?

Hyperdrive Inn is a Lucasarts style adventure game made entirely from scanned fabric samples

One of the many high concept ludonarrative experiments I’d one day like to bring to fruition is an immersive sim in which the player has access to many guns, but their default arsenal selection is an open packet of crisps which they hold out in front of them, in first person, and offer to NPCs. Some NPCs wouldn’t be swayed by this, but some would lower their weapons at the offer of a prawn cocktail treat, and so you’d be constantly playing chicken with various guards: edging closer toward them, your shaking hands rattling the delicious disks inside the oily packet, mentally weighing up whether it’s worth risking them turning hostile at the last second.

Obviously, I’d scan some real crisp packets and just alter the logos for maximum immersion. One game that’s already taken this scanned bricolage concept and run with it to beautiful effect is Hyperdrive Inn. It’s an avant garde point and click adventure from Finnish studio Horsefly, where the entire world is constructed from scanned fabric samples. Have a looksee.

Row Over Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Player Who Used Zombies Exploits to Become First to Hit Prestige Master Level 1,000 and Reveal Rewards

A Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 player appears to have become the first in the world to hit Prestige Master level 1,000, revealing the previously unknown rewards for doing so in the process — but not everyone in the community is happy about it.

A screenshot of gameplay from a Call of Duty player called ‘Aldredd’ revealed the milestone had been achieved, shocking players. The grind for experience points (XP) and ‘prestige’ (resetting progress and leveling up all over again after hitting 55) is part of the Call of Duty experience, and for many is the driving motivation to play for months, sometimes years on end. But a player already hitting the maximum possible level, with Black Ops 6 little over a month old, was thought impossible.

That’s because of the astronomical amount of XP required to hit level 1,000 (approx 50 million XP). Once you Prestige 10 times you can graduate to become a Prestige Master, which unlocks an extra 1,000 levels to grind. Hitting level 1,000 Prestige Master is the end point of the entire Black Ops 6 grind, and brings with it a set of exclusive rewards that were unknown to the community, until now.

The player in question created an X / Twitter account to discuss what they had achieved, and even published a video showing off the rewards. The X / Twitter user, called ‘Beamishh,’ subsequently admitted to using “Zombies glitches,” to hit level 1,000 already.

Ever since Black Ops 6’s release players have used the PvE Zombies mode to farm XP because it’s much quicker than playing Multiplayer or Warzone (XP progress is shared across all three experiences). And within Zombies mode, various away from keyboard (AFK) glitches and exploits have been discovered that let players leave their console or PC running as their character obtains XP from infinite waves of zombie enemies. And that’s exactly what Aldredd / Beamishh did.

Why is this a problem? Some Black Ops 6 players were racing to become the first to hit Prestige Master level 1,000 and thus reveal the rewards themselves. Indeed, entire groups of players were working together to reveal the rewards first through legitimate play. One such group, called Nuke Squad, is made up of Call of Duty streamers who are sharing their accounts in order to hit the coveted milestone, but are now complaining about Beamishh getting there first.

One member of Nuke Squad, called Santana, tweeted to say they were “robbed.” “So saddening to see zombie exploiters ruin the level 1,000 rewards,” they said. “Nuke Squad has streamed every single game since the game released and for it to be robbed and posted all over social media is so disheartening. It’s also sad that the company didn’t really do anything about these exploiters even though we all knew what was going on in the background. GGs.”

Santana’s tweet has itself fueled the row, with some in the community pointing out that while Beamishh used Zombies glitches to hit level 1,000, Nuke Squad were trying to hit the same milestone by account sharing, which violates Call of Duty’s terms of service.

Santana replied to this suggestion by claiming that Call of Duty publisher Activision had told Nuke Squad that its members were allowed to account share for the race, but were restricted to no more than six people, and no more than eight hours for each person playing. This itself has caused some to wonder why an exception was made for Call of Duty streamers and content creators, leaving regular players with a disadvantage or facing a potential ban for employing the same tactic.

The row shows no sign of stopping either, with both Beamishh and Santana continuing to have their say online. Beamishh denied cheating (“I’m just doing zombies glitches mate idk why you’re so tilted”) but admitted “there’s nothing impressive about my 1,000.” Santana has suggested Zombies AFK exploiters could get banned.

Warning! Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Prestige Master Level 1,000 spoilers follow:

As for the rewards, some are saying they tease the next Call of Duty game, which is reportedly a Black Ops 2 sequel set around 2030. They include a skin for Operator Eric Samuels, a Secret Service agent from Black Ops 2. The skin is called ‘New Orders’ and looks like it includes future tech. The weapon blueprint is called Enigma Tech, and includes the following description: “Get a glimpse of the day after tomorrow with the Enigma Tech Weapon Blueprint.”

The speculation now is that Activision and Black Ops developer Treyarch had hoped it would take at least half a year for players to hit Prestige Master Level 1,000, around about the time it planned to pull back the curtain on next year’s Call of Duty. Samuels, it seems, will play a role in that game. All this will make sense in time, but for Activision, perhaps, this particular breadcrumb was discovered sooner than expected.

I’ve Been Tracking PS5 Cyber Monday Deals Since Launch Day — Here’s What I’d Buy Before The Sales End

I’ve been tracking PS5 deals for a long time, ever since launch day in fact, and this Cyber Monday has some of the best ones yet. If I were buying, I’d go for a PS5 bundle starting at $374 (now back in stock)—it’s the lowest price I’ve seen on the console, plus you can pair it with Dragon Age: The Veilguard for just another $25.

The PlayStation VR2 bundle at $349 is seriously tempting too, especially if you’re tempted by VR gaming. I’d also grab a DualSense controller for $20 off. It’s always good to have a spare. And if your PS5 storage is running low, the SSD deals right now make upgrading a no-brainer.

For games, titles like Star Wars Outlaws, Sonic X Shadow Generations, and Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 are all heavily discounted. If you’ve been waiting for the right time to upgrade or snag some new games, this is it. These deals won’t last long, so don’t wait too long to decide.

TL;DR: The Best PS5 Cyber Monday Deals I’ve Found So Far

Best Cyber Monday PS5 Game Deals

Cyber Monday is here, and PlayStation 5 game deals are unbeatable at retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Target, and Walmart. Top games like Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, Sonic X Shadow Generations and Star Wars Outlaws are at their lowest prices ever, making now the perfect time to add to the library.

But don’t wait—these discounts will vanish in after Cyber Monday (December 2), and prices will return to normal. Whether you’re growing your lbacklog or hunting for a budget-friendly gift, this is your chance to save big. If you’re interested, we’ve also rounded up the 10 best PS5 games under $30, so you can grab the best deals before they’re gone.

DualSense Controllers Cyber Monday Deals

Cyber Monday is bringing major discounts on PlayStation accessories. DualSense controllers are now just $54, down from $74.99, with special edition designs available for $59. These are some of the best prices we’ve seen, making it the perfect time to grab a spare or upgrade your setup before your favorite colorway sells out.

Other must-see deals include the Pulse Wireless Earbuds, now $169.99, and the Logitech G29 Racing Wheel, discounted to $199.99. Whether you’re looking to enhance your gaming experience or pick up a gift, these deals are worth jumping on before they’re gone.

More PS5 Accessory Deals

Best PS5 Console Cyber Monday Deals

Get Dragon Age: The Veilguard for $25 When Buying at Best Buy

Right now, you can save $75 on select PlayStation 5 consoles, making it a great time to upgrade your gaming setup. Plus, snag select EA video games (including new release Dragon Age: The Veilguard) for just $25—perfect for starting your new library without breaking the bank.

Other options alongside Dragon Age include College Football 25, Madden NFL 25, NHL 25, and FC 25. That’s an extra $45 in savings when you take up the bundle at Best Buy.

Save $75 on PS5 Bundles

If you’re shopping at Amazon, PS5 Disc Edition is down to $424.99 from $500, while the Digital Edition is $374.99, originally $450. Personally, I’d go for the Disc Edition—it’s just $50 more, and you get the flexibility of physical games, which you can buy, sell, or trade later.

If you prefer the Digital Edition, the NBA 2K25 bundle is a smart pick if you can find it in stock, as it includes a game. On the other hand, the Fortnite Cobalt Star bundle, while eye-catching, doesn’t include a game—just something to keep in mind. These deals will end after Cyber Monday on December 2, so act fast to avoid disapointment.

Will the PS5 Pro Be Discounted for Cyber Monday?

Short answer, no. Long answer: While major hardware discounts are rarely a sure thing on brand-new releases, Cyber Monday might bring some unexpected deals. In the announcement for Sony’s lineup of holiday deals, the PS5 Pro was (unsurprisingly) nowhere to be found. However, some retailers could surprise shoppers with modest discounts or exclusive PS5 Pro bundles.

The PS5 Slim, for example, was released last year at a similar time and ended up getting a free game bundle (Spider-Man 2 or Modern Warfare 3) at the end of November. We’ll be keeping an eye out to see if any retailers step up with a Cyber Monday special.

PlayStation VR 2 is $349 for Black Friday

One of the best Cyber Monday deals is the PSVR2 Horizon: Call of the Mountain bundle, now just $349—a massive $251 discount. It’s the same price as the standalone PSVR2 during this sale, but the bundle is the clear winner, including an incredible game to showcase the headset’s power.

At this price, the PSVR2 is a strong competitor to budget-friendly options like the Meta Quest, offering a premium VR experience at an accessible price. If you’ve been waiting to step into high-performance virtual reality, this deal is too good to pass up.

Cyber Monday Deals on PS5 SSDs

PS5 games continue to grow in size, and with SSD prices climbing in 2024, finding the right storage at a great price is more important than ever. With Black Friday now here, there are plenty of discounts to explore. For example, the WD Black SN850X 2TB SSD with a heatsink is currently available for $133.99, offering excellent value.

Keep in mind that not all SSDs are compatible with the PS5. To ensure optimal performance, you’ll need a PCIe Gen4 x4 M.2 drive with a minimum read speed of 5,500MB/s to match the console’s internal storage. To simplify your search, we’ve curated a list of SSDs that meet or exceed these requirements.

PS Plus Cyber Monday Deal (Save 30%)

Cyber Monday brings big savings on PlayStation Plus memberships. New members can get 30% off a 12-month subscription, while current Essential members can save 25% on upgrading to Extra or 30% on Premium/Deluxe tiers.

November’s Game Catalog lineup adds even more value, with the return of GTA 5 alongside Dying Light 2: Stay Human and Like a Dragon: Ishin, available since November 19. Premium/Deluxe members also gain access to the Sony Pictures Catalog, offering up to 100 movies to stream on demand. Plus, all PS4 and PS5 players can enjoy extra discounts on recent movie releases during the promotion.

Should You Wait for Cyber Monday?

As Black Friday deals continue throughout the weekend, keep an eye on video game Black Friday deals from Nintendo, PlayStation and Xbox. Waiting for Cyber Monday can be risky – the hottest gaming deals tend to sell out fast. This is why Black Friday tends to be the better time to buy video games. Frankly, if you see a game deal you like, we’d recommend hopping on it now. But if you missed out on the PS5 2K25 bundle (or any of the insanely popular Switch bundles), there might still be hope come Cyber Monday.
