Xbox Black Friday Deals Live: Here’s All The Best Offers Right Now

Xbox Black Friday deals are now in full swing – and we’ve finally made it to the big day. In case you weren’t aware, typically these deals will be available until after Cyber Monday on November 27 as well, but that doesn’t mean some offers aren’t already selling out so it’s well worth checking the current discounts.

Our favorites at the moment include the Xbox Series S – Starter Bundle (including three months of Xbox Game Pass) for just $235 at Dell. There’s also up to $30 off Xbox Controllers right now, including deals on all color variations possible. But, that’s not all, so make sure you take some time to dig into the rest of the deals we’ve found for you just below. Rival console PlayStation’s Black Friday deals are pretty fantastic as well, so there’s never been a better time to be a gamer looking for a deal.

TL:DR – Best Xbox Black Friday Deals

Shortcuts

Black Friday: Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S Deals

There’s never been a better time to jump into current-gen gaming, and if you’re in the market for a new Xbox Series console, you can save a bundle on new console… bundles… at Walmart and other retailers! One of the very top offers is the Xbox Series S Black Friday deal — as this bundle is now only $234.99 at Dell. This is a 22% discount from the standard price, and even packs in three months of Game Pass Ultimate at no extra cost — which is an additional $50 in savings as well. This is our favorite deal in the sale for Xbox.

For those after an Xbox Series X Black Friday deal, you also won’t be disapointed. Walmart is coming up with the goods and has the Xbox Series X Diablo 4 bundle for just $439 right now. There’s also the Diablo 4 + Modern Warfare 3 bundle for $489 — another example of some serious savings to be had this Black Friday. Finally, if you’re a Best Buy Plus/ Total member you can currently also get a Series X for $399.99 + a Best Buy $50 Gift Card.

Black Friday: Xbox Controller Deals

Xbox Controllers have managed to score a huge discount for Black Friday, with up to $30 off the colorful gamepads over the next week or so. While the initial discount was seemingly looking disapointing ($10 off), online retailers have come through and put out some especially top deals for the Xbox controllers.

The cheapest controller you can get right now is for $39.99 at Best Buy (see here), and its the Stellar Shift Special Edition with an MSRP of $69.99. This is such a good deal, we’d be surprised if it actually lasts until Black Friday this week. All other controllers have dropped to somewhere between $40-45, which is a decent $20-$30 off the standard Xbox controller and a reasonable deal for Black Friday. Plus, this includes some of the newer color variations as well like the Astral Purple design.

Black Friday: Xbox Game Deals

With the Black Friday sales now in full swing, there’s more than enough incredible games to pick up on sale for Xbox consoles. Some of our favorites includes Assassin’s Creed Mirage for $39.99, Star Wars Jedi Survivor for $35, and Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 for $39.99. Plus, there’s so many other great discounts to considering so don’t miss out and check out out all the best Xbox Black Friday deals we’ve found for you just here. Walmart’s Black Friday deals are also now live, and the retailer has some of the best Xbox game deals around.

Get 10% Off Xbox Gift Cards for Black Friday

If you’re buying anything digitally, then ensure you’re picking up these Xbox Gift Cards to apply to your account first. With this Black Friday discount, you can effectively save an additional 10% off any digital purchases you make over the shopping season, including video games in the sale, or even your Xbox Game Pass subscription. Go nuts with these as they can be applied as many times as you see fit.

Best Xbox Game Pass Deals for Black Friday

We all heard about the Xbox Game Pass price hike that Microsoft implemented recently. A month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate now costs $16.99, a hefty fee. But, if you weren’t aware, you can actually still circumvent this change by buying Game Pass codes from retailers like Amazon who haven’t yet increased their prices to reflect the change. Paying $44.99 isn’t a huge discount versus the $50.97 Microsoft charges, but it’s not nothing. Also, it’s very possible the price drops lower at some point during Black Friday.

Black Friday: Xbox Accessory Deals

Games are huge these days, so if you’re running low on storage on your Xbox Series X or S, you’re far from alone. Xbox expansion cards are essentially NVME SSDs encased in a specialized Xbox-compatible shell. Unlike the more complex PS5 SSD installation process, which involves opening up the PS5 to access the SSD slot, the Seagate expansion card simply plugs into its dedicated port on the back of the Xbox. With this deal, you can add 1TB of storage that acts just like regular internal storage, for cheaper than normal.

Retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, and similar stores are sure to offer enticing discounts on Xbox games and accessories. If you prefer digital titles, the Xbox Store will have its share of deals too. Look out for upcoming sales from Best Buy, Walmart, and Amazon to score the best deals. Here’s a guide on where to buy Xbox Series X and S consoles.

NZXT’s Black Friday sale cuts up to 50% off their hot-swappable Function keyboards

I really liked the NZXT Function keyboards when they launched last year, and I still do today: all three are cleanly-designed and responsive gaming keyboards, and their hot-swappable mechanical switches make it a doddle to customise the under-the-finger feel. And speaking of today, it happens to be Black Friday, so we can add “up to 50% off” to their list of qualities.

Ubisoft Insists Assassin’s Creed In-Game Black Friday Ads Were a ‘Technical Error’

Some Assassin’s Creed players encountered in-game advertisements for Ubisoft’s Black Friday sales while playing older Assassin’s Creed games earlier this week, but Ubisoft claims this wasn’t intentional.

Reddit user triddell24 posted a video of the advert, which was shared by Fab on X/Twitter, below. It shows the player attempting to open the map in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey before the screen fills with an for Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which is 20% off in the Black Friday sales.

“Take advantage of 20% off on the latest game in the series,” it reads, giving the player the option to either close the advert or “buy now”, which presumably opens a link to the console’s store.

Ubisoft has denied this was an intentional ploy to sell copies of Assassin’s Creed Mirage, however, saying instead users were served these ads accidentally as “the result of a technical error”.

“We have been made aware that some players encountered pop-up ads while playing certain Assassin’s Creed titles yesterday,” a Ubisoft spokesperson told IGN. “This was the result of a technical error that we addressed as soon as we learned of the issue.” The developer didn’t explain how the technical error occurred.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage launched October 5 as a smaller-scale entry that returns players to the series’ roots through slower-paced, stealth-based gameplay, veering away from the role-playing game foundations of Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla (and potentially the next game, Assassin’s Creed Red, which recently spouted a fresh leak).

Its map isn’t anywhere near the size of those of its predecessors for one, and it only takes around 20 to 30 hours to complete compared to the several dozens of hours of previous games.

In our 8/10 review, IGN said: “Assassin’s Creed Mirage’s back-to-basics approach is a successful first step in returning to the stealthy style that launched this series.”

Go ultrawide on a budget with £170 / $150 off the HP Omen 34c monitor this Black Friday

Ultrawide gaming monitors are good for two things: juggling the exploded mosaic of Chrome windows that it takes to be a hardware editor on Black Friday, and making your games look cooler. I’m too busy with the first to do much of the second right now, but you can get into ultrawide gaming for a relative pittance thanks to these Black Friday deals on the HP Omen 34c.

Walmart Has the Best Black Friday PS5, Xbox and Nintendo Switch Bundle Deals

Walmart has come out swinging for Black Friday, offering the PS5 Slim Spider-Man 2 and Modern Warfare III bundles, but it’s also offering its own custom Black Friday bundle deals on Xbox Series X. Walmart’s Black Friday deals are live, with plenty of console bundles on sale for anyone in the market for a new gaming machine. This selection includes the new PS5 slim bundles with a free game (Modern Warfare 3 or Spider-Man 2), plenty of Diablo 4 Xbox Series X bundles, as well as deals on the Xbox Series S and even Nintendo Switch OLED. Conveniently, the best Black Friday TV deal is also at Walmart, a Sony Bravia 65″ OLED for $1398. With 120Hz refresh, it’s the perfect TV for the current crop of 4K consoles.

Walmart PS5 Black Friday Deals

PS5 Slim with Spider-Man 2 or Call of Duty Console Bundle for $499 (Save $70)

Note that this is the brand-new slim model of the PS5, which is pretty cool on its own. But if you were to buy these items separately, they’d cost you $569. These are currently on sale for Black Friday for $499.

PS5 Slim Vertical Stand

Believe it or not, Sony isn’t including a vertical stand in the new PS5 slim models. So if you want to set it vertically in your entertainment stand, you’ll probably want to pick up this $29.99 accessory. It’s kind of annoying that it’s an add-on, but it’ll keep your slim standing.

Walmart Xbox Series X and S Black Friday Deals

If you’re on Team Green (that’s what I’m calling Xbox fans; I think it’ll catch on), you can save a bundle on new console… bundles… at Walmart as well. Check out what’s available above and grab whichever one strikes your fancy.

Walmart Nintendo Switch Black Friday Deals

If you could use a new Nintendo Switch for yourself or someone on your list this year, you might as well get a free game with it. Walmart has the standard Switch Black Friday bundles (featuring a game + 3-months of Switch Online), but it’s also offering a Switch OLED bundle that includes Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for $359 as well.

Will We See PS5 Slim Digital Black Friday Deals?

So far, we haven’t seen any offerings for the PS5 Digital edition, only bundles for the disc-version. In fact, we haven’t even seen it listed anywhere at any configuration. Since the PS5 launched, the few instances where we’ve seen deals have always been on the disc version, so if you’re holding out for the digital PS5 deal, honestly, you might just want to bite the bullet and grab one of the PS5 slim disc editions on sale instead.

DualSense Controller Black Friday Deals: $49 Each

DualSense Controllers have once again dropped to their sale price of $49, a reasonable $20-$25 discount depending on which color variant you choose. Opting for controllers like the Volcanic Red, Cobalt Blue, Galactic Purple or Gray Camo is your best bet as these are some of the most popular, tend to sell out during sale events, and cost the most at $74.99 MSRP — so buying at this at the $49 Black Friday offer will maximize your savings.

Walmart’s Black Friday deals also feature some exciting discounts for Apple users. Right now, you can save on the 2nd generation Apple AirPods Pro (both versions with a Lightning charging port and USB-C charging port) and the brand-new Apple Watch Series 9. The latter’s price has dropped down $50 on both the 41mm and 45mm models, so you can pick them up for $349 and $379, respectively.

Alongside Walmart, Amazon and Best Buy also have some Black Friday deals that are live and worth looking at. If you’re curious about what’s included in those, make sure to check out our roundups of Amazon’s Black Friday deals and Best Buy’s Black Friday deals to learn more. The big shopping day is today and we want to help you save as much as possible while shopping. You can also check out our breakdowns on what’s included in Costco’s Black Friday deals along with details on Apple’s Black Friday deals, PlayStation’s Black Friday deals, Xbox’s Black Friday deals, and Nintendo’s Black Friday deals.

The Electronic Wireless Show S2 Episode 39: GTA 6 predictions feat. Dracula boat

This week on the Electronic Wireless Show podcast we talk all things GTAVI augury, what with the community going bananas for secret GTAVI clues, and Rockstar finally announcing that they’ll have a trailer for the next Grand Theft Auto arriving in December. Our predictions are in fact not as outlandish as you might think, although there are gorillas, obviously.

Alongside this we talk about the games we’re playing right now (largely Darktide, it turns out), and dish up some recommendations. We also spent like a third of our recording time playing a deranged Age Of Empires 2-themed RPG using an abbreviated D20 system of Nate’s devising, but don’t worry, I edited it down quite a lot. Apologies for my poor mic quality!

You can listen above, or on on Spotify, iTunes, Stitcher, or Pocket Casts. You can find the RSS feed here, and you can discuss the episode on our Discord channel, which has a dedicated room for podcast chat.

PS5 Slim Digital Edition is Now Available

PS5 (the slim variant) has been the hottest item of the 2023 Black Friday sales for gamers. It’s $499 bundle offer with Spider-Man or Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 has been the talk of the metaphorical town — but we still hear one big question every time we talk about it: what about PS5 slim digital? Well, we can now answer that, as it’s now available to buy for $449.99.

There’s no preorder period or chasing down stock, it’s just available – huzzah! There aren’t any special digital PS5 Black Friday bundles out at the time of writing, so there’s no free game unlike the PS5 slim disc version — but that’s still an option if you are 100% digital as those games are digital copies as well. We’ll leave the relevant links you on where to buy the PS5 slim digital just below. For any more Black Friday deals, ensure you’re following @IGNDeals on Twitter/X.

Black Friday PS5 Console Deals

It’s the biggest IGN Black Friday deal of the year, and it just keeps going. You’ve come to the right place to maximize your chance of getting your hands on one. If you aren’t enamored by the cost of the Digital Edition, then the Disc Edition of the Slim might be a better bet as it comes with a free game.

Stock levels can be a little uneasy with these so far, so stay tuned if you aren’t successful on the Spider-Man 2 bundle this time. Have no fear if these sell out, however, as another alternate PS5 slim deal is also now available and includes Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 at no extra cost.
