Paramount has revealed some of its future movie plans, but for us, the biggest draw is that Sonic the Hedgehog will be getting a brand new spin-off movie in 2028.
Variety reports that this upcoming spin-off is currently untitled, but it’s being referred to to as the “Sonic Universe Event Film”. It will launch in cinemas on 22nd December 2028. More than three years away!

Banjo-Tooie isn’t the most beloved adventure in the bear and bird’s series, but it has its fair share of fans. One of which happens to be Nintendo’s very own Shigeru Miyamoto, which former Rare designer and director Gregg Mayles revealed on social media.
Sharing a fax from the legendary game creator and director (thanks, Time Extension!), Mayles says “Nice of him that compliment (in my mind anyway)” before explaining just what a fax is — to those youngsters online, of course.

Jennifer Hale, one of the most iconic voice actors and best known for playing Commander Shepard in the Mass Effect trilogy and Naomi Hunter and Emma Emmerich in the Metal Gear Solid series, has spoken about her experience in playing Bayonetta in Bayonetta 3.
Hale, who took over the role from Hellena Taylor for the third entry in the series, told GAMINGbible (via IGN) that she “got thrown under the bus by that whole thing.”

Xenoblade Chronicles 2, which as every Xenoblade nerd worth their salt knows is actually the third game released in the series, dropped into existence on this very day back in 2017, and it’s a bit good. We gave it a well-deserved 9/10 in our review, so it’s a bona fide banger as officially ordained by the bona fide banger squad™.

It was a special edition affair last time, as we celebrated the 35th anniversary of the SNES by matching up three boxes for the SNES Mini. There was one clear winner in our eyes, and you lovely lot agreed with us! The simplistic Japanese design comfortably walked away with the win, taking 48% of the vote and leaving Europe and North America with the remaining 26% and 25%, respectively.

Publisher Fireshine Games and developer Pugstorm dazzled us with the gorgeous survival sandbox game Core Keeper back in September last year, and today they have announced that more is on the way in the shape of a swanky new Switch 2 Edition.
Arriving on 28th January, you can expect this one to feature beefed-up graphical fidelity and frame rate (targeting 60fps), as well as a bunch of visual tweaks in the lighting, shadow, water quality and particle effect departments to keep things looking super sleek.
