’25 vibe.

Somehow, we’ve made it halfway through the year — congrats on surviving 2025 so far! Now that many of us have a shiny new console in our hands, we’ve got a lot to look forward to.

But before we look at the future all starry-eyed, it’s time to look back at the year’s very best for the first six months. Sure, the Switch 2 is a highlight, but we’ve had months of excellent Switch 1 games, and many of us are sitting on a backlog as tall as a skyscraper now we can’t put down our Mario Kart Worlds or our Cyberpunk 2077s.

Poll: Box Art Brawl: Duel – Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles

Itchy…

Hello folks, and welcome to another edition of Box Art Brawl!

Last time, we looked at Donkey Konga 2 for the GameCube; a rather lovely sequel that never quite became the hit it deserved to be. In a classic three-way brawl, Japan came out on top with 47% of the vote, but goodness, it was close. North America just missed out with 46% of the vote – oof! Europe sadly lagged behind with just 8%.

A USB camera fix and more.

One of the many Sega games released alongside the Switch 2 at launch was Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S.

Although it arguably didn’t offer much for returning players, there was a new camera feature allowing you to superimpose your face during gameplay. It seems there were some display issues with “certain” USB cameras, but this now been resolved in the latest update.

Just over a week on from the last one, there’s a fresh Battlefield 6 leak here that shows the return of Rush

Yes, yes, you’re reading that headline right. Yet another Battlefield 6 leak has taken place, if you can believe it, showing 15 whole minutes of the game that we all know exists but hasn’t really been shown off in an official capacity. This follows on from the leak in March, and even just last week, which might have confirmed the presence of a battle royale mode. This latest leak offers something new though: the return of Rush mode, a mode that’s appeared in a number of previous Battlefield entries.

This Mash-Up Legend of Zelda Wall Art Is an Awesome Gift Idea for Wind Waker Fans

This Legend of Zelda canvas wall art is the perfect gift for any Zelda fan. It recreates the timeless Great Wave off Kanagawa by Katsushika Hokusai, but with a fun Wind Waker twist. It’s the same exact art, but now Link and the King of Red Lions are sailing in the foreground. It’s silly, fun, and a great mash-up of the famous painting and one of the best Zelda games of all time. If you’re looking for a great Legend of Zelda gift for yourself or the Nintendo fan in your life, this is definitely worth considering.

The Legend of Zelda Great Wave off Kanagawa Canvas

There are 16 different versions of the print, with five main configurations. There’s regular gallery wrapped, black-framed, 3-piece, 4-piece, and 5-piece versions to pick from, so you have plenty of variety to find the right one for your nerdy interior decorating. Each of the divided versions come in medium and large versions, and the gallery wrapped and black-framed styles come in five sizes.

They vary in price between $39.99 and $29.99. The 24 by 18-inch gallery wrapped version is 7% off, now at $69.99 while the 4-piece medium is also 7% off, bringing the price to $129.99.

Now is the perfect time to pick one of these up, since The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker has gotten a second wind (nailed it) on Nintendo Switch 2. You can access the game on the Nintendo Switch Online GameCube app along with Soul Calibur 2 and F-Zero GX, with many more to come. The Wind Waker is one of my personal favorites, and we gave the 2002 original a 9.6, saying that it’s “a masterful achievement — a shining example, in fact, of how video games should be made and a case study for developers wondering what makes a compelling game”.
