It has not been a good time for Simmers recently, and that’s not even touching the recent controversial private buyout that has led to a creator exodus. The Sims 4, for a while now, has been riddled with bugs that simply make it difficult to play, prompting Maxis to outline a quality of life roadmap in September. Part of said roadmap was delivered yesterday in a big update that introduced more than 150 community-voted fixes, as well as some free goodies!
“Most of our inspiration comes from the comic books”.
We are mere weeks away from Marvel Cosmic Invasion punching its way onto Switch and Switch 2 on 1st December, and with the full character roster now out in the open, the team at Tribute Games has shared a breakdown of what we can expect from each fighter.
In the above video, the team explains how it assembled a lineup of both familiar and lesser-known faces, and how each character keeps things interesting.
Treyarch Design Director Kevin Drew shares some of the behind-the-scenes stories about the creation of the Wonder Vehicle, Ol’ Tessie.
Players will be able to drive and customize their own Ol’ Tessie vehicle, treating it like a member of their crew in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Zombies.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 launches November 14, 2025, for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Xbox on PC, ROG Xbox Ally handhelds, Cloud, Battle.net, Steam, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4. It is an Xbox Play Anywhere title and available day one with Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
Ashes of the Damned will be the largest map that Zombies has ever seen in a Black Ops game once Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 launches on November 14, 2025. It will be full of iconic locations that have been twisted by the Dark Aether and feature the return of some fan-favorite characters as well. However, one of the biggest additions in my opinion will be the arrival of the customizable and fully drivable Wonder Vehicle: Ol’ Tessie.
I mean, what better way to navigate a deadly network of roadways full of zombies than behind the wheel of your very own rusted pick-up truck? When you meet it in the opening area of Black Ops 7 Zombies, Ol’ Tessie is already tough enough to withstand a beating. But it’s the deep level of customization that can make it a force to be reckoned with as you and your crew embark on your adventure through the Dark Aether.
Need a navigator? How about you install the dismembered head of T.E.D.D.? Want to install a giant turret? You can. Need a pick-me-up? Check out the Pack-A-Punch machine you can eventually install on the back bumper. The longer you’re able to last in the Dark Aether, the more you’re able to customize Ol’ Tessie, which can also deliver plenty of exciting, emergent gameplay moments each time you jump into Zombies.
To learn more about how the idea of bringing a battle-ready pickup truck into the world of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Zombies came to life, I had a chance to talk with Treyarch Design Director Kevin Drew about how a pick-up truck, talking cars, and the prestigious voice actor Nolan North fits into all of this.
“I think it really started when we were coming up with what our launch map will be for Zombies,” says Drew. “We really liked TranZit (from Call of Duty: Black Ops II). We had fond memories of it and especially some of the things it was trying to do. And we felt like we could take that to the next level; it’s been over 10 years. And so, we have the technology now, we have the experience. How can we evolve that?”
As Drew explains to me, one of the core tenets that the team arrived at was instead of the bus driving you, which was featured in Call of Duty: Black Ops II Zombies, now you get to “drive the bus.” From there it started to cascade from a simple idea – have a drivable vehicle with zombies – and then more people started to contribute to that idea.
“Narrative was immediately like, ‘We want to do a junker style pick-up truck from the ‘70s and have it real beat up,’” says Drew. “From there, I was looking at it to make sure that it can support four players and is very flexible – Zombies is a very hostile mode, so you want to make sure this thing is very useful and is truly like your fifth member of the squad. That was kind of the starting point. From there, it was kind of like all the cool things we can do.”
One of the first “cool things” the team settled on was bringing back T.E.D.D. from TranZit and finding a way to incorporate him into this modern approach to this new Zombies map. By having him as the first upgrade – once you install him on Ol’ Tessie’s dash – it will then make this truck come alive, making it sentient and having it talk to you (inspired in part by a superpowered talking car that some of you may remember from the ‘80s).
“Since Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, our Pack-a-Punch machines have been this jury-rigged thing with a jet engine in the middle of it — that’s what upgraded your guns. So, we’re like, ‘What if we installed the jet engine in the back of the vehicle to give it a boost?’ Those ideas just kept coming.”
Drew also revealed that the idea of having an Ol’ Tessie-like had been percolating for years, as they had wanted to do some kind of Wonder Vehicle where you had an Abomination husk, but it didn’t quite make it into past Call of Duty games – but now they can do that here.
“As soon as we added the carcass of this thing on (Ol’ Tessie), everyone’s like, ‘Can it still fire its laser beams?’ And we’re like ‘Yeah, we should probably make it fire its laser beams.’ And then the final step was the Wunderwaffe DG-2. That kind of just completed the entire experience. It was a while ago, but there were a couple months there when we were just continuing to iterate and evolve it. It was a really cool process.”
Another area that the team wanted to work on with the Zombies experience this time was bringing an added weight to your decisions, especially in the early going. Looking back to TranZit again for inspiration, you had to commit to a path – the recent Zombies maps don’t have this in place, instead built around being more accessible, where you can spread out and come back together as a group. This time in Black Ops 7 Zombies, once you’re aboard Ol’ Tessie, you have a myriad of decisions to make on the road – do you take the left path or the right path? Do you wait and try to tough it out against the horde? In addition, these in-between locations feature hazardous roads that you need to nurse Ol’ Tessie through.
I ran into this first-hand during my time with Black Ops 7:Zombies during Call of Duty: Next a few months ago. There, my crew had installed T.E.D.D. and we started to make our way through the Dark Aether when we came to a junction. But we hesitated on which path to pick and were quickly overwhelmed by zombies. I also discovered that, despite how awesome Ol’ Tessie is, it can’t take a lot of damage – at least in the early going. It was a nice way for the game to give you a quick heads up, that despite how awesome it feels to continue driving over zombies, you need to take care of this vehicle. It’s not invincible.
“The team put a lot of effort into that kind of balancing of making sure you can still make it as long as you’re driving forward the first couple of times you’re out on the road. But we also made sure there were a ton of ways that you can upkeep Tessie and make sure that it’s always ready to go,” Drew says.
There will also be a haven that becomes available once you get to Ashwood which unlocks the garage – this will become your central hub within Ashes of the Damned. One of the things this unlocks is the ability to have a broken-down Ol’ Tessie warped to this garage for it to be repaired, which is extremely helpful if you had to abandon it in the middle of the road like I had to during my gameplay session.
“T.E.D.D. also has auto-healing capabilities,” adds Drew. “So, if you can survive in the fog for a while, it will start to kick in. You can also manually repair it if you have the time by spending some salvage. There’s a lot of ways to upkeep the vehicle. That allowed us make the damage a little bit more severe because even with Tessie, it’s still hazardous out on the roads.”
On the topic of having T.E.D.D. return, albeit as a disembodied head, it touched on something Drew and I spoke about previously, about finding an intent to make Ol’ Tessie feel like a fifth member of your crew and not just a new game mechanic.
“That was our goal – we want Tessie to feel essential to the map and we’re building everything around it,” Drew says. “It’s the core new mechanic for this map. So, things like quests will require Tessie. And having T.E.D.D. was a nice callback to Call of Duty: Black Ops II Zombies. He’s such a fun character that it was a shame to have him only on one map. ’ Nolan North plays the voice for T.E.D.D. and he does an amazing job. Hearing the lines over the last month has really made me chuckle; it has been a lot of fun to bring him back.”
Learning more about what was involved in the creation of Ol’ Tessie just leaves me even more excited to return to the Dark Aether and see what other secrets it might have in store. As someone who has obviously spent more time with the series than most, I asked Drew what is it about Ashes of the Damned that has him really excited for players to experience for the first time?
“I can’t spoil too much, but there’s some moments in the quest that you really need Tessie to help out, where it’s like, ‘All right, everyone get in!’ It’s just those moments where you’re about to leave an area, and everybody’s getting in – some inside, some people get on top, some people in the back – and it’s like, ‘Go!’ They feel like an action hero escape kind of moment. Those are the things that stick out to me. Like, this is so cool. You don’t usually get to experience this in Zombies.”

White Flare is the other half of the last and dual set of the Scarlet and Violet era, twinned with the Black Bolt set. Every Unovan-native Pokémon has either an Illustration, Secret Illustration, or Black and White Rare. It’s a big set, and you’ll need as many boosters as possible to master this bad boy.
Luckily, Amazon actually has something at market value. The White Flare Booster bundle contains six booster packs for $51.35. That works out at roughly $8.56 a pack, not bad going.
It’s a dollar or so higher than TCGPlayer, but you also get next-day Prime shipping, so it’s worth that little extra!
Bonus Deal: Team Rocket Tin Under Market Value
I also clocked Team Rocket Tins under market value on Amazon as well, meaning you can grab three Destined Rivals and two Journey Togther boosters for $8.59, top one!
Best Chase Cards You Can Pull From Black Bolt and White Flare
Of course it’s hard work trying to find higher-end chase cards in any set, but Black Bolt is packed full of Illustration, Pokéball and Masterball Rares, so it’s even harder to snag a Secret Art Rare or Black White Rare.
Luckily the secondary market has single cards to buy, with TCGPlayer being the market leader in providing a marketplace that keeps itself in check thanks to price tracking and previous sales data to make sure you’re making an informed decision.

EA and Battlefield Studios have plans to tweak aim assist settings for Battlefield 6 controller users – but that hasn’t stopped PC players from digging into the files to turn off crossplay.
Senior console combat designer Matthew Nickerson confirmed BF Studios would be “reverting back” to open beta controller aim assist settings in an X/Twitter post earlier this week. It’s a major change, especially for those on console, that fans have pleaded for since Battlefield 6 launched for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X | S October 10.
Far less stickiness so it does not create that rotational persistence that is currently live. Consistent slow down, no ramp. Recoil reduction is a separate system from AA but will be getting adjusted also once the new tech is online.
Nickerson says the change back to open beta settings will arrive “shortly,” adding that recoil reduction adjustments are also coming soon. Although PC and console players have disagreed on how aim assist has changed since the August open beta tests, many feel the settings have been tweaked for the worse.
“In the beta, aiming and shooting felt really satisfying, but now the aim feels completely different,” one popular comment posted shortly after launch says. “Making micro-adjustments is harder; I find myself fighting with the aim.”
“I’m not the greatest on controller but I’m pretty good and I can also say confidently that this problem did not exist in the beta,” another comment at the time said. “Aiming and aim assist felt perfectly fine on controller.”
BF Studios has made more than a few adjustments to Battlefield 6 that have had players up in arms, but the post-beta changes related to aim assist have been especially controversial. They’ve been so divisive, in fact, that some PC players recently started tearing through the game’s files just to avoid players using the controller assistance feature.
The workaround comes from content creator and X user @otterTweets, who revealed the method for those who are “tired of OP aim assist.” They say diving into the files at “documents/battlefield 6/settings/steam/PROFSAVE” and adding “GstGameplay.CrossPlayEnable 0” turns off crossplay completely.
There is, unsurprisingly, a catch for those who do this, though. Ottr says turning Battlefield 6 PC crossplay off drops affected players into lobbies populated with bots instead of real-world players. If enough PC users switch crossplay off, they could theoretically begin playing with more actual players, but it could take some time to really catch on.

I called out sliding as one of my favourite aspects of Arc Raiders in a launch-day write-up. It lends the looter shooter a gambolling giddiness you might not expect from its heavily laden packmule characters. In more practical terms, it makes you harder to hit and allows you to flank or retreat while regenerating stamina, the catch being that you might slide into somewhere you’d rather not be, like directly beneath a bunch of Hornets.
After a few hours spent doing migrant penguin impressions in Buried City and Blue Gate, a thought occurred: hang on, this is almost like the hypermobile ski shooting in Tribes: Ascend. I mean, not really, but perhaps if they made friction a setting on custom servers, this crouch-walking pillage ’em up could be a bona fide movement shooter.
Terminator 2D: No Fate — the new retro game that blends scenes from Terminator 2: Judgment Day with original scenarios and multiple endings — has been delayed for a third time, this time to December 12, 2025.
Terminator 2D: No Fate sees you play as Sarah Connor and the T-800 as you try to put a stop to Skynet’s plans before the human race is annihilated. It’s coming to PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and last-gen console systems. It was initially slated to release on September 5 before being delayed to the end of October, then November 26. And now it’s been delayed again.
Last time, publisher Reef Entertainment said the release date had been pushed back from the original October 31 date due to “ongoing global trade and tariff changes that delayed shipment of the components for our Day One and Collector’s Editions.” And while the “physical components” necessary for all editions have now “finally arrived,” the company needs “some time.” And even though this only impacts the physical editions of the game, Reef has confirmed this delay also applies to digital editions, too.
“First of all, we want to start by saying thank you. We know you’ve waited longer than expected for the release of Terminator 2D: No Fate, and we truly appreciate your patience and support throughout this journey,” the team said. “The physical components for all editions have now finally arrived, following the ongoing delays that pushed us off our previous schedules. However, we now have to assemble the physical editions, which we need some time to do.
“Because of this, we are moving the launch date of Terminator 2D: No Fate to December 12, 2025, for all physical and digital versions of the game.
“We are sincerely sorry for the repeated delays. We don’t take your patience for granted, and we never want to disappoint our community. Our goal has always been to deliver the game that you deserve, and we’re almost there. Thank you again for standing by us.”

Battlefield 6 developer BF Studios has announced a “major” overhaul of Challenges and Assignments, with “substantial” adjustments across the board.
BF Studios said that these changes, outlined in patch notes below, build on the recent updates that increased the XP earned in official matches and reduced the XP needed for the first 20 attachment ranks.
“This update makes significant reductions to challenge requirements, cutting down on time investment while maintaining a focus on skill-driven progression that rewards consistent play,” BF Studios explained. “Challenges and Assignments are tuned around defined playtime targets, and these changes bring their requirements in line with those goals to make them more achievable within a reasonable session length.”
BF Studios continued: “Assignments will continue to range from goals you can complete through regular play to a few that reward true mastery, particularly those tied to cosmetic items. Some of the original criteria did not fully reflect that intent, and we have updated them to make their difficulty and purpose clearer.”
The first set of changes went live today, November 5, through a server-side update and are available immediately. Any progress you’ve already made will automatically be applied when you enter a match, unlocking any challenges or assignments you now meet based on the updated criteria.
BF Studios said the scale of its plans for Challenges and Assignments is “large and will take place over multiple server-side and client-side updates,” so players can expect additional updates in the future.
Community Update – Challenge & Assignment Changes patch notes:
In this first set of changes we made a total of 90+ adjustments to Challenges and Assignments. Below we’ve highlighted a few examples.
Class Challenges
Assault, Engineer, Support, and Recon challenges now complete much faster.
Assault 2: Have Squadmates deploy on your Spawn Beacon.
Reduced from 50 deploys to 5.
Support 2: Revive teammates as Support.
Reduced from 200 revives to 60.
Weapon Assignments
All weapon-type assignments (ARs, SMGs, LMGs, Shotguns, DMRs, Snipers, Carbines) have been significantly simplified.
Rapid Fire 1/Assault Rifle: Inflict damage with Assault Rifles.
Reduced from requiring 10000 inflicted damage to 3000.
Mode & Unit Assignments
The majority of our mode-specific assignments (Conquest, Rush, Breakthrough, Domination, and others) have been standardized to require two wins per tier. This change makes it easier to pursue these challenges with clear intent.
Conquest 2: Wins in Conquest.
Reduced from 5 wins to 2.
Conquest 3: Objective kills in a round of Conquest.
Reduced from 30 objective kills in a round to 10.
Gameplay & Mastery
General “Expert” and “Master” assignments that require multi-kills, headshots, kill streaks, or revives have been adjusted to better match the natural rhythm of gameplay. For example, multi-kill and streak goals now align with average round performance rather than rare, outlier achievements.
Explosives Expert 2: Get Multi Kills (2+ Kills Onwards) with explosives.
Reduced from 20 Multi Kills to 5.
Adaptable 2: Repair damaged Vehicles in a life.
Reduced from requiring 3000 damage to 500.
